This is a revision of the earler list, and I believe it is close
to complete. A second list will be forthcoming, see below.

SPECIAL NOTE: Since this list is quite long, I have
separated out certain types of books into a special list. This current
list does NOT include: LANGUAGE BOOKS NOT INCLUDED. DICTIONARIES AND
OTHER BOOKS FOR LEARNING LANGUAGE. It does not include ART books or
POETRY. I will do a special list of these later on.

I have read the French original. Laennec has done a fantastic
job of surveying the principle aspects of Vodou, with helpful
color photo and image documentation of historic prints, Vodou
flags and paintings, actual ceremonies and possession, the
attributes of the various principle lwa, etc.

with Mother Teresa's sisters doing service work in Haiti.
Along the way Bentivegna does an excellent job of looking
at the situation of health care, or rather the lack of it,
in Haiti today.

This is a classic book on the Haitian Revolution by an
excellent Marxian scholar.

This is one of the best books every written on Haitian
