Islamic art museum opens - ANA
http://www.ekathimerini.com/4dcgi/_w_articles_politics_19646557_29/07/2004_45415

Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis enjoys a joke yesterday at the
inauguration of the Benaki Museum’s new collection of Islamic art in
Kerameikos. Karamanlis praised the contribution of Islamic culture to
the world of arts and letters and stressed the significance of the
museum’s inauguration ahead of the cultural festival of the Olympics.

The Islamic art collection of Athens’s Benaki Museum was yesterday
unveiled at the inauguration of the museum’s new site in Kerameikos,
attended by Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis.

“Islamic culture is one of the most significant in the history of
mankind, having offered us... unique architecture and superb works of
art,” Karamanlis told an audience including the muftis of Xanthi and
Komotini, home to most Greek Muslims.

“The museum is opening its doors at a time when people from all over the
world will be arriving in Greece for the greatest festival of culture
and sports,” Karamanlis said.

More than 8,000 exhibits chart the evolution of Islamic art from the
first appearance of Islam until the 19th century. Highlights include a
marble interior of a reception room from a 17th century mansion in
Cairo, a pair of carved wooden doors from eighth-century Mesopotamia, a
reed mat from 10th century Tiberias and a 16th century velvet saddle
from Bursa.

Well I certainly don't mind hearing that an Islamic museum of art
opens in Athens. As for an Islamic Center in Peania now this should
be out of the question. This is because Islamic Centers, like the one
purported for Peania, are funded by King Fahd of Saudi who pumps
billions of petro dollars into global Islam. He also helped sustain
Al Quada in the Balkans among other places. Archibishop Christodoulos
and the Greek Orthodox Church at large seem to know the truth about
King Fahd and his Islamic Centers but as we would expect the neo
liberal media and the mutlicultural movement downplay his warnings.

Subject: The Bulgarians and Greeks adopted names and alphabet
The Bulgarians adopted the names and the alphabet of the Macedonians.
The Greeks adopted the names and the alphabet from the Hellenes who took

the alphabet from the Phoenicians.. Both the Bulgarians and Greeks claim

that they discovered their own alphabets. Especially the Greeks who
believe that they have invented everything.
In 1925 the Greeks printed an ABECADAR (primer) for the Macedonian
school children. How is it now that they deny any Macedonians in Aegean
Macedonia?
When they suppressed the Macedonian language in 1936, whose language did

the Greeks suppress? They still deny any Macedonians in Aegean
Macedonia.
In 1936 the Greeks changed the names of all the Macedonians in Aegean
Macedonia. If there are no Macedonians there, whose names did they
change? Also all of the toponyms were changed, why were these names not
left alone if they were always Greek names as the Greeks insist?

If it is true (there is no evidence otherwise) that King Fahd of Saudi
or other Islamists in the Arab World who pump billions of petro
dollars into "Islamic Centers" in Greece, Europe and throughout the
World, who also made major contributions (monetary, legal and
otherwise) sustain Al Quada in the Balkans and everywhere else under
the very noses of authorities as well as peoples themsleves all over
the World, we are up to a very big and long strugle to re-esytablish
peace throughout the World.

MORON!
Silver artifacts, painted tiles, fabrics, decorated books, etc.
You'd be surprised to know that there is an Islamic art and it is quite nice
and appreciated by every historian or architect around the world!
But how an IGNORANT full of hatred fascist like you would ever know that?...
