The Cleveland Museum of Art has scored an international coup by purchasing
an exceedingly rare ancient bronze sculpture that depicts Apollo, the Greek
god of light, in the act of killing a lizard with an arrow.
"It is by far the most important work of classical sculpture to come to
light and be acquired by a North American art museum since World War II,"
