The Asian American Arts Alliance, a non-profit art service organization, is
hosting a benefit and silent auction featuring the works of Asian American
artists Nam June Paik, Paul Pfeiffer, Shigeko Kubota, Ken Chu, Rina
Banerjee, Arlan Huang, Nina Kuo, James Kuo, Sung-Ho Choi, Roger Shimomura,
Tomie Arai, Lynne Yamamoto, John Allen, Yong Soon Min, Emily Cheng, Michi
Itami, Corky Lee, and Chong Gon Byun.
Get there early to bid on works by the amazing group of artists who have
donated their work to support this organization. During our reception enjoy
the open bar with mixers from event sponsors Remy Martin, and taste
sumptuous hors d'oeuvres catered by the hip new restaurant Tibet on Houston.
At 8:00 downtown choreographer/performance artist, Yoshiko Chuma & the
School of Hard Knocks will present the "Living Room Project," a
site-specific performance that will definitely take you by surprise.

Proceeds will benefit the Asian American Arts Alliance, a non profit arts
organization dedicated to increasing the support, recognition, and
appreciation of Asian American arts. Through all of our work, we seek to
increase the understanding of the enormous diversity of cultures, histories,
and voices that exist within the pan-ethnic Asian American community. We
support artists and their groups through networking and advocacy services,
publications, grants and technical assistance, public forums/workshops, a
resource library, and special initiatives.
