Jen interesa debato Pri lingvo kaj movado, kiu

I suppose the character of these names puts a dot in the discussion about supposed 'neutrality' or 'democracy' of the Esperanto.

What you probably meant to say was, "...puts a period to the discussion...",
i.e. "ends the discussion"

Even given that, your intended meaning unclear.

You often throw out vague, knowing allusions. Do you think that makes
you seem smart?

They're anything but vague. Somehow the 'international' language has fallen into the hands of South Europe clowns, but misguided followers still preach about the qualities it lost long ago.

Saluton Klivo!

antikvaj verboj ("is", "are", "be" origine apartenas al tri malsamaj verboj).

Petro.

Maybe you are too accustomed to a state of matters in Esperanto movement (where only the local ringleader can define which myth is 'true' and which is not, but such things as English orthography are facts: they don't change their properties, whether their beholder is a native speaker or not.

Do, la sekva teksto, parolas pri faktoj kiuj ne ekzistas, ĉu?

"What are 'silent letters'?
A silent letter is a letter that appears in a particular word, but does not correspond to any sound in the word's pronunciation. The bad news is that English has a lot of silent letters, and they create problems for both native and non-native speakers of English, because they make it more difficult to guess the spelling of many spoken words or the pronunciation of many written words."

Dankon Pietro.

Or maybe, because I'm a native English speaker, I have some expertise on the subject.

You've already lost this argument. In future, try to avoid being boring.

Regardless of your experience, those 'silent letters' won't appear in English orthography which is built on a principle that doesn't allow them.

To prove the contrary, it would be easy to point any description of word classes having silent letters in their orthography, yet you were able to produce only absurd articles stating that H in SH is a silent letter and other  things.

Maybe this will help:

"Bona, amuza, interesa diskuto.
Versxajne, tempo jugxdecidos."

Mi konsentas kun li kaj precipe kun lia lasta frazo.

liaj kritikoj estus probable iom malsamaj, sed esence analogaj.
Li ne kontraŭas nur Esperanton, sed ja la "Iµnternacian Lingvon".

'gh' is definitely not mute, as it is realized there as elongation of preceding vowel.

'e' is not mute, it is a modifier letter.

On the other hand, in French orthography letters 's' and 't' in (for example) _est_ are not modifiers. They are just useless silent letters.

And now the pederasts who had been troturing the humankind with their language for centuries are trying to take revanche by using the Esperanto as Neo-French for the purposes of cultural dominance by Southern Europe.
The appalled humankind tells you: NO PASARAN.

I would never oppose a working international language, which could stand on its own merit.

But the multitude of stupid, difficult and ridiculous projects like E-o, Interlingua, Volapük, &al. showing only excessive pride and being amateur of their creators. When one of such projects becomes a tool in hands of crafty conmen who are trying to extort money from the most vulnerable: (mental) children and government subsidiaries, one cannot just watch it impartially.

When such persons have been unmasked and ridiculed, Esperanto can take its proper place in nerd corner in a pen next to Tolkien-fags.

critique bien inutile.

>
> On the other hand, in French orthography letters 's' and 't' in (for example) _est_ are not modifiers. They are just useless silent letters.

>
> And now the pederasts who had been troturing the humankind with their language for centuries are trying to take revanche by using the Esperanto as Neo-French for the purposes of cultural dominance by Southern Europe.

dire. C'est très "scientifique".
