Survey Research on Bamar People

Dear all,

I am a graduate associate from the Institute for the Study of
Intercommunal Conflict,Washington State University. I am conducting a
research on the ethnic conflict in Burma. Recently, I have conducted
surveys among non-Bamar ethnic groups on how they identify their
ethnic groups and how they view the Bamar.

In this survey, I would like to ask the Bamars how they identify with
their ethnic groups and how they view the Mon and Karen. The purpose
of this research is to study how an individual identifies his or her
ethnic group and how he/she views other groups.

If you are a Bamar, please kindly share about 20 minutes of your time
for answering the survey questions. The survey includes two parts: The
first part of questionnaires is related to your view on the Mon and
the second part is on the Karen. Please access the survey at:
