Accusing Israel of "breaching laws of war," Amnesty said: "Much of the
destruction was wanton and deliberate, and was carried out in a manner
and circumstances which indicated that it could not be justified on
grounds of military necessity."

Amnesty says Israel "wantonly" destroyed Gaza

JERUSALEM (Reuters) Amnesty International said on Thursday Israel
inflicted "wanton destruction" in the Gaza Strip in attacks that often
targeted Palestinian civilians during an offensive in December and
January in the Hamas-run enclave.

The London-based rights group, in a 117-page report on the 22 days of
fighting, also criticized the Islamist movement Hamas for rocket
attacks on Israel, which it called "war crimes."

Among other conclusions, Amnesty said it found no evidence to support
Israeli claims that Gaza guerrillas deliberately used civilians as
"human shields," but it did, however, cite evidence that Israeli
troops put children and other civilians in harm's way by forcing them
to remain in homes taken over by soldiers.

Amnesty International said some 1,400 Palestinians were killed in
Israel's Operation Cast Lead, including 300 children and hundreds of
innocent civilians, a figure broadly in line with those from the
Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza and the independent Palestinian
Center for Human Rights.

The Israeli military put the Palestinian death toll at 1,166 of whom
295 were civilians. Thirteen Israelis were killed, including three
civilians, during the offensive Israel launched with the declared aim
of curtailing cross-border rocket attacks.

Accusing Israel of "breaching laws of war," Amnesty said: "Much of the
destruction was wanton and deliberate, and was carried out in a manner
and circumstances which indicated that it could not be justified on
grounds of military necessity."

Translation: Jews are never allowed to defend themselves.
Besides, the so-called Palestinians started the destruction
process, themselves.

> Like Dresden? Or Tokyo?

Of course not - those *were* actually destroyed.

are you sure what are your facts. Jew have mostly being absent for more than
2000 years and only a very small handful remained in Palestine. In the 1910
census taking by the British only about 10 percent of Palestine's population
was Jewish and this did include the about 45000 Russian immigrants. After
world war II most of the Jews from around the world immigrated to Palestine
but there was no Jewish state. Right after the declaration of the Jewish
state in 1948 Palestinians were driven of their homeland by the Jews or were
too scared to remain there. Most of the Palestinians who wanted to return to
their homes where refused entrance and the Jewish excuse was they did
abandon their homes this was a lie. One shall also not forget it was the
Jews who in world war I and II the British American help if the can get
Palestine as their homeland. What do you expect the Palestinians to do
looking at the way they have been misused by the Jews.

Missed this part:

Amnesty said although rockets fired by Palestinian militants from the
Gaza Strip rarely cause casualties, their use was "indiscriminate and
hence unlawful under international law." The rockets often sow fear
and panic.

It also accused Hamas and other armed groups of endangering the lives
of the Palestinian civilian population in Gaza by firing rockets and
locating military equipment near homes.

seen the areial photographs (to which I seem to
remember you posting a link) - that it was not even 10%.

How about giving criminals the same weapons as our military? See, if I

stupid as yours.

Why are the Palestinians criminals?

What are they doing different from IRGUN?

Here's the deal: Arabs are firing their stupid rockets at civilians in
Israel nonstop. You unfortunately do not have the capacity to imagine
what would happen if they had serious rockets. If a child fires a BB
gun at people, you don't give him a .22. Got it?

Because they fire rockets at civilians. Normal minds can figure that
our for themselves. Too bad you are subnormal. Is it ok in real life?
Are you on the dole?

Dumb analogy. A child who shoots people with a BB gun is not the same
as people who are pissed off at being f-----over and having their
houses bull dozed and water kept from them. But why am I arguing with
an idiot? To teach the idiot that his/her arguments are severly
flawed that's why.

Last time anyone checked, *Hezbollah* did indeed have "serious rockets".
It appears to be helpful in keeping their southern border secure from
thuggish incursions.

Many things, Torres. The first thing that comes to mind is that Hamas
wants back what was stolen from them, as opposed to IZL which was
engaged in terrorism and theft on a major scale.

Here's the deal: Israel stole nothing: they were given the land,
60% of the Arabs left to let their fellow Arabs kill all the Jews,
&, when that did not happen, have been whining about it ever
since.
