And she is rather stupid: I told her many times: I hate you Cats.
And? I wake up again and again of her sleeping on me. She is black with
white tie and socks.
So I remember you said you have an experience with cats: how can I
alienate her? I just feel really uncomfortable, my Akita is probably
watching from upstairs of universe and bark and growling and feel very
very upset.
Just asking.
VM.
Just give up and agree with reality: I was 100% dog person and don't
like cats before get one.
Looks like I am doomed. Life sometimes pulls such tricks on us.
VM.
I feel so embarrassed in supermarket now - before I was buying what was
making all people around to look with respect as if I was an Akita
myself - large breed senior food. Now I am buying ridiculous packages
with kitty pictures on them. Shame.
VM.
Can't you just pretend that the catfood is for you?
Aha, I see - now Finns have fun watching a poor Rooskie trying to cope
with unsolvable problem. As Vello told me - live with it! Quite an
advice. Kafka.
This Cat is like Baltics - small, impudent and street smart. I also
suspect she hacked my bank account.
Oh, yeah, almost forgot in comparison with us Rooskies - very
civilized. White socks, white tie, green eyes, black vertical danger
pupils. Such a Lady. Except it is me who has to go supermarket for her
food. This apart from harassing phone calls - Did you feed the Cat?
Yeah, I did feed the Monster. - Thank you, AND don't be rude to her.
Life inside a Steven King's novel.
But thanks for giving me a hand.
VM.
Let me do something what is explicitly prohibited: my follow up message
contains an image: one day I will show up at your porch like this:
There are those in this world who look up after me.
Go to the next message i hope it will go through.
VM.
At least at my server it didn't go through.
I 'll do this later - I am trying to build a library of Akita recourses,
- where and what medications to buy, common troubles, pictures etc.
It's easy to conclude that I am an obsessive moron, like those old
ladies who fetishy their pets. I am not.
I just think they are a valuable contribution, specific knowledge to our
civilization I accidentally crossed paths.
If you find a diamond you are expected to share, right?
VM.
Beautiful picture, it got through all right. Is it mother and puppy? My son
and his wife only had cats for 13 years after they got married. We lost hope
of ever becoming grandparents. But then, exactly 1 year before Obama swore
the oath, Wilma was born -- she will turn 2 on January 20th -- so I have
forgiven the cat species now. I'm quite familiar with catfood, however,
after all the years as a catsitter. Their first cat (still alive) was a
"Norwegian forest cat" called Mishka.

And as opposed to Akita it is her that will be boss for you :-)

So here you are, Vladimir, sleeping with the enemy -)) I know them
lot very well, probably as well as you know dogs. I had few of them
since I was 12. The first one I picked up from the windowseal They
are very selfish animals and do what they please. Don't expect much
dedication and love as you had from Akita. However, lots of people
are very passionate about cats. My mother has 4 and she cares for
them to similar extend as you care for Akita. There are many rules in
the house that are designed to accomodate individual needs of each
cat. Once I criticised some of the procedures. For example, my
stepdad would come out at night and spend 45 minutes looking for one
of the cats with a torch around the village (the cat would normally
appear next morning anyway, but he is still doing it every night).
However, my criticism didn't produce any results except for upsetting
my mother. Those cats are very important part of their lives.

Don't alienate, but adopt the enemy. I'm sure Akita will be OK with
this. There are no enemies in the world where Akita is now.
Don't know it you know it or not yet, but cats are very fussy eaters,
not like dogs. They can eat the same "package" for a bit, but soon
get off it. Often you have to experiment with different brands from
time to time. But this varies from cat to cat. My first one wouldn't
accept anything except boiled cod throughout most of her life.

Sorry that I fell out since like week - end of year translates in a lot
of things at work to wrap up before Christmas dead season starts.
As to the some Mishka, This one looks like quite a persona, very
impressive, probably as all cats is also spoiled: "What's for dinner? -
Swedish salmon in a curry. I think I'll have it three minutes to
nine...Not a minute later or earlier."
VM.
Hah, very funny. One day you will find yourself nervously jerking at
sound of a cat banging around your house and then I will have laugh.
VM.
Oh, thank you thank you thank you - i felt where was some itch in memory
I couldn't verbalize it.
I will show her the movie. I will MAKE her to watch the movie. And then
we will talk.

Here you are wrong. Akita, she told me again and again: you never ever
trust cats, squirrels or anything that moves especially approaching you
of course if it is not a handsome Akita male. Here we started argument -
I said I am not gay for Christ sake - she said Akita males are so
handsome, oh, forget it, you humans are so narrow minded.
I saw her flirting with an Akita boy - this was quite a scene.
As to the cat - she is alright, she doesn't go out of house at all, -
looks like she decided to retire completely from street life, had
enough. Even with having her shelter - heated igloo and food on the
porch - she is small in size and probably was harassed by bigger animals.
So she probably feel relieved from all that troubles. Well' I don't
really mind to be her in the house for a retirement. JUST DO NOT TOUCH
AKITA'S TOYS. What she continually does - impudent and arrogant as only
cats are- getting in the basket and touching sniffing this and that. And
I strongly suspect that she remembers the smell, they knew each other,
not exactly through friendship but nevertheless, mostly separated by window.
Have you seen the American movie of Stanly Cramer I saw it when I was
maybe 10 or close - "Bless the Beasts and Children"?
VM.
Thank you very much I know this now very well.
Except of course I have no idea why when speaking about dogs you think
you cover Akitas too. Before she became old it was a nightmare of my
evening: "will she like the dinner or not? What can I do make her like
it? Shall I dance? Maybe curry? Italian? Special lights?" Dima you know
very little of dark side of the story behind the closed doors what is
going on between Akitas and Humans.
VM.
It is not funny for me.
It is my life.
We have siamese.
He always punishes me for my slightest fault.
Two is already a group according to NYPD.
So let's pool our recourses - I'll be`a look out, you 'll do - well you
know what you have to do.I'll provide names and addresses. "Kitty,
Smoothy, Puffy" , etc. and then we'll go international for some -
"Mishka". I have a photo ID - I think I got it through very clandestine
channel from Vello - he is our most reliable source. Vello ID-et the
person as finno-ugric and point to relatives.
What about squirrels?
For Motherland and Akitas
VM.
After some contemplation - let's do nothing, instead sell the idea to
"South Park". It definitely fits their style.
VM.
Have you thought of getting another dog?
What is it "South Park"?
Is it more cruel then squirrels?
Marquis (my siamese) was my seigneur for about 15 years and i can't bear if
he will suffer.
No. I understand that from outside it looks like I had a dog who died.
She wasn't a "dog", "pet", she was a friend of mine and it was mutual.
If your friend would die - imagine somebody tells you - "get a new
friend!" It is not a linear situation: I have to replace her taking care
of the cat. She is not young either, I don't know her exact age but
most probably around 9.
Maybe much later I get an Akita puppy. But not anytime soon.
VM.
South Park is intentionally offensive cartoon about four kids living
their life in a small town of South Park in Colorado, USA. he two guys
who started it are Canadians (what one can expect from Canadians?) with
a purpose to shock God fearing, government respectful, Bible (whatever
book) values of citizens of this planet.
Well, if I had no more friends left, I would look for a new one (after
I got over the mourning). And if I lost my wife, I would eventually
look for a new woman.

Yes, it takes time for wounds to heel.
I don't think it is a wound - I got used to reality: life as it is.
I just amazed how childishly arrogant I was - I was warned but was
dismissing all the warnings: how many times reality has to club my
brains to get in my little head this simple idea - Life is composed of
Losses.
I just hate Dostoevsky and Gogol with their: we are doomed.
Maybe we are, but we have to Climb. I am with Pushkin, Bagration: let's
Fight. This how and what the Akita taught me.
Let's climb even when tired and gloomy.
VM.
> Let's climb even when tired and gloomy.
Climb every mountain, search high and low
Follow every byway, every path you know
Climb every mountain, ford every stream
Follow every rainbow, till you find your dream
[So says Hollywood, so it must be true.]
It is easy to make them to participate in movie watching. As long as
it is comfortable they will sit there facing TV screen. Often they
will close their eyes, but probably still listen to an audio part of
the film.

I recently had an extremely curious cat coming round every day. Very
good looking grey with white sleaves. He searched every corner of the
house including the tops of kitchen cupboards. I don't know what he
was looking for, but I had to stop letting him in because he had
flees.

No, I've never seen this one.

Well, I think I am just beginning to discover some of it. I obviously
don't know Akita, but every other dog I knew had no problems with
eating.

But this is true - never stop. I told this bio story which fascinated me
, which in turn was told me by one outstanding biologist: there is a
creature in a gray zone between animal and plant because it is born as
an mollusk and after birth has very very primitive nervous system which
makes it capable to move (swim) - it moves till finds a cozy place to
attach itself and...digest its nervous systems and turns itself into a
plant.
That is - never stop, move. Look around John - how many minds turned
themselves into vegetables.

I am very glad that at last some of you Euros start to understand that
what Hollywood says the Planet follows. It is still unwritten law but
give it some time.
VM.
What freaks me - the Akita had manners, she was such a lady. This one is
like a streetwalker - you tell her once, twice - I am not interested I
am busy, - she still screams.

I'll never pack the Akita's toys. One day may be not soon there will be
another Akita. As to getting cat's toys I still figuring that out - she
is basically a street girl - she sometimes makes me mute - she plays a
strange game in her imagination - and starts to run like crazy up and
down the stairs in the DARK.
But I'll find something.

Try to find when you have a chance - great fun and great for children.
It was my first formal lesson on animals and us humans. Stanley Cramer
was the director.
VM.
That is very tricky - Akitas are Japanese, bred for centuries on local
regional diet - now you offer her some cliche diet developed basing on
preferences of Euro dogs - doesn't matter pure bred or not. Their
genetic preferences for food are different.
Akitas love fish and rice. The Better one was looking at us - how can
you eat this (Riga sprats), Akita and me: we just love it! Dry fish in
sight? She was going cross eyed.
She loved meat very much, but Real meat. All "supreme" (tried that)
dry/wet dog food from supermarket - I never knew, - she could come,
sniff and say - no, I don't like it, I don't eat it.
I was only saying then - oh, hell with it , you a such a drama queen.
VM.
Ne tyani kota za hvost. Aga?
VM.
Let me elaborate on this particular last point: people who use advantage
of weaponry developed by mankind generations of those before them to
kill animals are SUCKERS.
You want to kill an animal - fine - go hand to hand Do Not Use What
Generations before you developed To Defend themselves or Get food.
Hunters then were while taking risk - kill it or get killed, these
suckers are not taking Any risk. They go go for a safe kill.
Instead they play this obscene comedy - like they are real Hunters but
without any risk to get killed. Clowns, buttaforia, to show themselves
and their women what big dicks they are. Losers. In reality they have
embarrassingly tiny. This is why they want to kill from a safe distance.
As I said - Suckers.
VM.
What is good about you John, - I never sure if behind lines there is a
Cheshire smile. Ambiguity which is not hostile. You know how to play a
simpleton Rooskie.
I remember citing Longfellow's "Exelcior" and here are you: who wrote
this lines? My better half was sometimes addressing me and Akita - you
Two Dopes. We were letting it, we know she loves us.
VM.
