Both Yitzak Rabin and Menachem Begin were to contradict the common belief

There was an Arab/Nazi attempt to poison wells of Tel Aviv during WWII,

Too bad the Arabs declared war on the Jews after the Holocaust. It
would have been

I wish the Zionists had used similar methods to scare Jews from Germany

and elsewhere into running towards Palestine before WWII. If the

Yes, the truth is always complex. For example, most German Jews and
others refused
to leave Germany until practically too late, when finally most German
Jews finallydid leave, only to be caught again later (such as Ann
Frank's family) when neighboring countries
that took in Jews fell under the Nazis anyway. It takes a lot to get
most people to leave
a country they have lived in for generations and even centuries.
Antisemitism was the normal condition for most Jews, so that was rarely
enough to get them to move. It took
either pogroms or reduction to abject poverty to get them going.

and must pay tributary taxes. Look, there were black slaves in the
South who had preferred
to remain house slaves, and many Hebrews were angry at being forced to
leave Egypt
with Moses. The Zionist movement gave the Jewish people an alternative
to perpetual
minority and vilified status. They were given back their ancient
homeland, if they would have it.

Nasser may have not been seeking war, but his people egged him into it.
And so he
told the UN to go home and reoccupied the part of the Sinai that Egypt
promised not
send military into after the '57 war. For years the Egyptians had
controlled Gaza and
armed Palestinian Fedayeen to carry out attacks into Israel. So that
was one agreement
from a decade earlier he broke. Then he reestablished the blockade of
the Straits of Tiran
and thereby the ISraeli port of Eilat, ISrael's only line to Asia and
its oil supplies. Actually,
it was the Soviet Union that was mixing the brew for a Middle East war
to distract the US
from Vietnam. In any case, it was clearly Egypt that blockaded ISrael,
never allowed
Israeli shipping through the Suez Canal, another violation of
internatio law, all of which
were acts of war. All of them were moves to try to strangle Israel,and
Israel was not prepared to go along. The '67 war was a just war by
Israel for survival.
