Many Scholars of Nostradamus believed the "Great, King of Terror from

sky" was a "Doomsday" Comet.
This is because Nostradamus has several predictions of a Comet that
will
Impact or near pass earth and trigger global destruction.

NOTHING CAME FROM THE SKY!
A Doomsday Comet did not near pass earth in The Year "1999 and Seven
Months?
(be it July or Sept).
Actually Nostradamus never said the Comet would pass earth in the year
1999
and seven months.
"After a great misery for
mankind, an ever greater approaches
The great cycle of the centuries
renewed, it will rain blood, milk,

The great "cycle of the centuries renewed" was the year 2000 AD, The
New
Millennium.
I believe the "Great, King of "Terror from the sky", that Nostradamus
predicts, is the Coming of NIBIRU, The Comet Planet.
Nostradamus sees NIBURU, The Comet Planet near passing Earth (or
Impact)
sometime AFTER the year "1999 and seven months" and causing great
destruction that triggers W.W.III.
Nostradamus studied ancient History and the occult including the
beliefs and
religions of anceint Sumer and Babylon. I am sure that Nostradamus was
aware
of the Comet Planet, its 3600 year passing of the earth and the
cataclysmic
damage that Nibiru can cause.

I believe Nostradamus predicted that NASA would first see NIBIRU, The
Comet
Planet, approaching earth in JULY 1999.
In July 1999, a small Comet, Comet Lee 1, caused mass attention as
this
Comet was seen by earth- based observatories. Many Nostradamus
scholars
mistakenly believed Comet Lee 1 was The "Doomsday" Comet that Nos'
wrote of.
Nostradamus spoke of the coming of The Comet Planet, that would near
earth
and cause great destruction, soon after The Year "1999 and seven
months".

In terms of Astronomy, the planet MARS is closer to earth today, then

been in the last 60,000 years as of 27 AUG 2003 AD.
In terms of Astrology, MARS is the ancient god and planet that

THE
WORLD!

Nostradamus sees the Comet Planet visible to earth for seven days. It
will
bring destruction upon BRITAIN (great dog) Rome and The Vatican
(pontiff).
The Following Cataclysm Happens After The Tribulation Is Underway and
Not
Before It Starts.
PART II: ASTEROID IMPACT
The Comet Planet will pass thru the Asteroid Belt between Jupiter and
Mars
as it nears earth. Its trajectory will either be Direct Impact or it
will
near pass earth and send a Large Asteroid hurtling towards us.
12 Jan 2005, NASA launched "Deep Impact", a satellite that will smash
Comet
Temple 1 on JULY 4 2005, as it passes between Jupiter and Mars. This
does
seem to be "Target Practice" for the real and coming threat from The
Comet
Planet.
In a future, Doomsday Scenario, NASA and possibly Russia will launch
specially equipped, nuclear weapons that shatter this Comet or
Asteroid as
it targets earth. However it rains burning fragments {meteors} upon
The
World.
This is virtually the exact scenario we read of in Revelation, chapter
8.
"The first angel sounded: and
hail and fire, mingled with
blood, and they were thrown
to the Earth; and a third of the
trees were burnt up, and all
green grass was burned up."

One Third of The Earth Will
Be Lit On Fire
Then A Worse Horror
One large fragment, an Asteroid, approximately a mile in diameter,
Will then
crash into the sea and the result is catastrophic.

Nostradamus saw this Asteroid crash into the sea, sometime in the new
Millennium of 2000 AD.

Many interpret Olympus Festulan to mean Mt. Olympus, near Greece. As
this
mountain is close to 10,000 ft high, we are looking at a massive tidal
wave.
Nostadamus has more predictions about this Asteroid Impact to the sea.

2}."Seven times it {tidal wave} approaches the sea shore of Monaco",

All of this indicates the Asteroid will initially hit the Aegean Sea
in the
Mediterranean Ocean {the island of Negrepont/modern day Evvoia}.
The impact/heat blast upon the water would be equal to the force of
1000-megaton nuclear missile.
Massive Tidal Waves will flood Monaca, Mt. Olympus, Athens and major
parts
of Italy {Tiber River} including Florence.
The Book of Revelation places this Asteroid Impact in REV:8:10, during
the
Great Tribulation, when Antichrist is on the world scene as the
Messiah and
Avatar (world teacher).
Many will question Antichrist and his claim to control "The Forces Of
Nature. In light of this destruction from space, millions will realize
he is
The False Messiah
Next in The Book of Revelation, we see another burning object impact
Earth
from the sky.
"Then the third angel sounded;
And a great star fell from Heaven,
burning like a torch, and it fell
upon a third of the rivers and
on the springs of water,
"and the name of the star is
called Wormwood; and a third
of the waters became as worm-
wood; and many men died from
the water because it was made
bitter".

This star "Wormwood" is either an ICBM Nuclear Missile or a massive
chunk of
The COMET PLANET. The destruction caused by the first two cataclysms
will
trigger mass plague and famine leading to W.W.III. When China the
"King of
The Mongols" is "brought to life" (C10 Q72) and Wages War.
This burning star "Wormwood hits the waters of America, The N.East
Coast.
Nostradamus also seems to describe "Wormwood" and his
vision/quatrains.
The sky will burn at 45 degrees
latitude, fire approaches the new
city. Suddenly a huge, scattered
flame leaps up, when they want
to have verification from the
Normans {France}.

New York City sits at 45 degrees latitude. Normans represents France,
NATO.
This makes complete sense. The USA Military would contact Nato for
"verification" if this object was a Nuclear Missile or a Comet? (for
if
Wormwood is a nuclear missile, The USA would launch a nuclear
response).
PART III: FINAL WARNING
Nostradamus sees a Comet, which I believe is NIBIRU, The Comet Planet,
causing great destruction and WW III. Nostradamus sets a time frame
around
2012 AD.
The Book of Revelation (chapter 8) also speaks of A Comet that brings
Great
Destruction upon the world and trigger WW III. Revelation gives no
date as
to when this event will happen.
THE BIBLE CODE does seem to give A Date when "Wormwood" will impact
the
Atlantic Ocean and Flood NYC: between 2010 and 2012 AD.
What will happen when Nibiru, The Comet Planet passes earth again?
Will It's
Powerful Gravitational Pull Cause Polar Shift? Mass Flooding? A Chain
Reaction of Major Earthquakes and Volcanic Eruptions world wide? or be
blown
apart by NASA and shower the earth with flaming meteors?
Imagine the horror of The Dec 26 Tsunami happening simultaneously
around the
world and we get an idea of the magnitude of what is to come.
This is exactly what JESUS spoke of in Matt 24 which parallels
Revelation;
"For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,
there
shall be earthquakes in many places, plagues and famines".(Matt:24:7).
It does seem JESUS is speaking of Cataclysmic destruction caused by
the
passing of NIBIRU, The Comet Planet. When The Great Tribulation is
well
underway, as the First seal is broken in Rev:6:2, The Judgments upon
the
world.
If the Comet Planet will pass earth around 2012 AD then earth based
observatories should start to see NIBIRU sometime between 2006 and
2011 AD.
A MESSAGE OF HOPE
The Destruction brought by The Doomsday Comet happens DURING The Great
Tribulation to come and not before.
This Time of Tribulation, lasting seven years, is the Last Chance for
Humanity (Sinful Christians and the world) to make Heaven. Millions
will
Repent, Accept JESUS as Savior and Follow Him as Lord during the
Darkest
time in human history, When Satan rules the world thru Antichrist 666

1997. I remember back in FEB 1999, many Nostradamus sites were
convinced
that Comet Lee 1 would smash earth in "1999 and seven months". I sent
a
letter to NASA, asking them about COMET LEE and if it had the
possibility of
impact with Earth.
NASA wrote me back from the JPL and told me there was zero chance that
Comet
Lee `1 could hit earth as it would pass at least 900 million miles
from
earth.
NASA was correct about Comet Lee and 1999. I wonder what they will
write me
about 2012 AD and The Comet Planet?

The equations that follow are real. The numbers have not been changed
to
protect the innocent. The consequences will be real. I've done my very
best
to keep it simple so anyone can follow along and understand. There are

"doomsday" predictions here, but this event will take place. Knowing

can save the life of you and yours. My personal advice should
headlines
start creeping around by 2010? By late 2012 = stay away from the
coasts.

thousand years ago
Age of Taurus = 4500 BC = {4,286 - 2,143 bce} = (4-6 tya)
Age of Gemini = 7500 BC = {6,429 - 4,286 bce} = (6-8 tya)
Age of Leo = 11,500 BC = {10,715 - 8,572 bce} = (10-12 tya)
Age of Virgo = 14,500 BC = {12,858 - 10,715 bce} = (12-15ya and on)

Planet X - Modern Astronomy Science
"modern day definition": Planet X aka Nibiru:
A large scale hypothetical planet that's part of our solar system with
an
orbit beyond that of Neptune. Was first hypothesized in 1841 when
astronomers noticed Uranus did not move as predicted in it's orbit.
Based on
these residuals, the search for Planet X began.
Please keep in mind, I'm not a graphic artist. (doh) But most
importantly,
the dates illustrated below are just to ROUND OFF for purpose's of
simplicity. The current figure generally accepted by science is that
planet
x/nibiru is on a 3600 year elongated (elliptical) solar orbit.
My personal calculations put this at 4320.26 years <---!!!Wrong!!!
(See
Below). Since this is closest to 4000 years I thought it would be fair
enough when referring to a chronological scale of human/earth history.
This means that PlanetX/Nibiru is visible every 2000 (2,160) years
during
its orbital pass. ( Sumerian and Mayan text both state that Nibiru is
clearly visible by day as well as night )
That being said, all science arenas confirm that the below charted
events
took place in the past at around those periods. The debate of course,
is
when exactly they occurred, and what exactly caused them to occur
which
isn't relevant for our purpose. You'll clearly see that the timeline's
show
something happens on a catastrophic scale every 4000 years (or so).
The sumerians told us that Nibiru wreaks havoc with the earth's axis
every
second orbital pass. (Every 4000 years or so). Basically, Earth's axis
precessed from a right tilt forward and probably 180 to the left in
around
10 or 20 hours due to the gravational "jolt" that takes
place.Hmmmmm...
Sumerian Mathmatics 101 The Sumerian sexigesimal system of numbers
works
with changing factors that increase by 6 and 10.
The formula equates as follows:
1, 10, 60, 600, 3,600, 36,000, 216,000 bla bla so on, etc.
Every other preceding number is multiplied by 6 or 10.
The number 5,000 is written as 12,320 in Sumerian.

1x3600 + 2x600 + 3x60 + 2x10 + 0x1 = 5,000. Still hanging with me?
If we look at the number 3,600 and write it
down the Sumerian way, we see that the result is 2,160.

3x600 + 6x60 + 0x10 + 0x1 = 2160.
The Sumerian mathmatics system might seem odd at first, but it's
actually
ideal for geometry, calculation with fractions, and time. The hour was
divided into 60 minutes of 60 seconds each by the Mesopotamians using
their
sexagesimal system of counting.
Sumerians state that Geometry and Astronomy was the language bestowed
upon
them by the gods (flesh and blood gods) and is still used by freemason
architects today gaining knowledge on their Templar crusades in the
Middle
East. (The Templars disbanded and later reappeared as Freemasons).
Hmmmmm... So, are the Sumerians lying and it's actually just a myth as
modern religion would have you think? Only problem is, they have this
documented 4000 years before Chirstians even exsisted. Anyway, its
clear I
back up this claim. Me and that pesky science fella. :)
Various studies of Sumerian mathematics point out that the numerals
are
intimately connected to the precessional cycle. The unusual
alternating
structure of the Sumerian sexagesimal system throws special emphasis
on the
number 12,960,000, which represents exactly 500 great precessional
cycles of
25,920 years.
The lack of any connotations, other than astronomical, for the
multiples of
25,920 and 2,160 can only suggest a deliberate design for astronomical
purposes, yes? I think we can all agree on that.
Therefore, my suspicions strongly indicate that the revolutionary
orbit of
this 12th planet Nibiru could not consist of 3,600 years, but of 4,320
years. Assuming that's correct, then what would the consequences be?
If a whole new calculation is performed from the time of the great
flood,
which according to Alford occurred in 10,983 BCish, with the new
orbital
pass every 2,160 years then we get a whole new series of data, namely:
10,983 - 8,823 - 6,663 - 4,503 - 2,343 - 183 BC and 1977 AD.
Alford also describes the arguments between the two gods known as
Thoth and
his brother Marduk. These two conflicted over the fact as to when the
precession of the Earth exactly started. Thoth was able to convince
Marduk
that it occurred one and a half degrees later than what Marduk had
calculated. A degree and a half of the precession cycle is 108 years
(a very
sacred number in itself!). If we add this number to 1977 then we come
up
with the year 2085. Hmmm, No sweat, old coot here by then!
Still conflicted (nag nag), and after a couple solid sleepless nite
weeks of
continued research, I came across yet another precession article
promoting
facts that the current data on the precessional cycle does not consist
of
25,920 years as the Sumerians had recorded. (doh)!
In ancient times the precessional length was 25,920 years, but now,
due to
the increased speed of precession, it is now closer to 25,776 years.
Sooooo...
The number 2,160 is the twelfth fraction of a precessional cycle that
takes
25,920 years.
If we divide 25,776 by twelve we get 2,148 years.
We now conclude that the bi-orbital timeline of P-X is 2,148 years,
not
3,600 or 2,160 years.
If we proceed to calculate in periods of 2,148 years starting at
10,983 BC,
then add another degree and a half of 25,776 to that:
{ meaning 107.4 years } thus/and/or
-------------------------------------
{ A degree and a half of 25,920 is 108 years},
-gulp- we then come up with a result of... 2012 AD! ... Yikes!
Hmmm.... The Mayan's, Egyptians, Zulu, Hindu, Incas, Aztecs, Dogon
(Africa),
Cherokee, Pueblo, Tibetan's bla bla bla.. all have the same calander
target
year! We can safely take "coincidence" off the table.
I challange you to calculate the odds of 2012 being a target year for
all
these cultures as coincidental. It's a number you couldn't even
define. But
if you're mathmatical minded, have a go! :)
So, this is also the end of the Mayan calendar, the end of the month
Pisces
(2148 years), and the end of the cycle known as the "Platonic Year or
Great
Year" which we now know lasts 25,776 years.
Keep in mind that the Maya and Sumerians we're the two "Dawn of
Civilizations", that spawned all other cultures thereafter. And yep,
they of
course lived on different continents and had No Idea each other
existed.
Although Nibiru now passes every 2,148 years it only orbits close
enough to
cause a pole shift every other time. Unfortunalty the numbers indicate
last
time it passed beyond Jupiter or Saturn resulting only in magnetic
fluctuations and severe weather patterns. So this next pass should be
between Mars and Jupiter. That can't be good folks. And the fact that
both
Maya and Sumer cultures (and about ten others), claim that their Gods
told
them this exact same timeline?
Question mark indicates "what exactly" caused the above events, not
if they
actually took place - we know they did...
The last 'Major' passage, which caused noticeable catastrophe, was
during
the Age of Taurus, 4,286 - 2,143 bce - the two before that would have
been
in the Ages of Leo (10,500 BC.) and Scorpio (14,500 BC.) - (see chart
above
for "years ago" timeline ).
The Gnostic authors of the Bible were also aware of these hallmark
conjunctions, and wrote them into the New Testament. The four beasts
of the
Apocalypse, the Lion, Ox, Man and Eagle, correspond to the four zodiac
signs
Leo, Taurus, Aquarius and Scorpio, in which the Grand Cross
conjunction of
Jupiter and Saturn takes place in 6,444 year intervals.
Even if the authors of the Bible didn't know what exactly would happen
at
this time (which they probably did) they appear to have used this
event as a
point for triangulating many prophetic statements. The sign of Taurus,
named
by the Sumerians 'GU.ANNA', meaning the "Heavenly Bull", also
represented
the Sumerian God Ishkur, a.k.a Teshub the storm God!
So my conclusion is that we experience catastrophe approximately every
4200
years (2 x 2,148 = 4200) and 3 times within a precessional time scale
of
25,776 years. Mayan Elder, Hunbatz Men, also revealed that the Mayans
have
known about Tzoltze ek' (Nibiru) for many years. They say "The planet
has a
period of 6,500 years, not 3,600, and visits us 4 times every 26,000
year
precessional cycle" (Platonic Year or Great Year, that ends on 21st
December
2012). If we go back 6,444 years (3 x 2,148) from 2012 AD, then it
brings us
to 4,432 BC, when the Antarctic ice cap formed.
There is much controversy over the dating of the Biblical Flood, but
if we
look at archaeological data for 10,983 BC and 4,432 BC, we see
evidence of
major flooding and catastrophic climate change. There is also evidence
of a
flood around 2,200 BC, leading bible scholars to conclude this was the
Biblical Flood. But I suggest this flood was much more localized than
the
great flood, due to the passage of Nibiru at a reasonably safe
distance.
Sooooo... Just a coincidence that these other cultures have a 2012
target?
a.. Hopi Predict a 25yr period of purification followed by End of
Fourth
World and beginning of the Fifth.
b.. Mayans Call it the 'end days' or the end of time as we know it.
c.. Maoris Say that as the veils dissolve there will be a merging of
the
physical & spiritual worlds.
d.. Zulu Believe that the whole world will be turned upside down.
e.. Hindus Kali Yuga (end time of man). The Coming of Kalki &
critical
mass of Enlightened Ones.
f.. Incas Call it the 'Age of Meeting Ourselves Again'.
g.. Aztec Call this the Time of the Sixth Sun. A time of
transformation.
Creation of new race.
h.. Dogon Say that the spaceship of the visitors, the Nommo, will
return
in the form of a blue star
i.. Pueblo Acknowledge it'll be the emergence into the Fifth World
j.. Cherokee Their ancient calendar ends exactly at 2012 as does the
Mayan
calendar.
k.. Tibetan Kalachakra teachings are prophesies left by Buddha
predicting
Coming of the Golden Age.

I'm
just completely nuts, but data + data + data = science. I never
thought I'd
be relaying any sort of Doomsday scenario. And chance's are, these
very same
Gods will help us out a bit. I just hope we as a species are seen as
worthy
of such action.

be
right? That's the way to think! Obviously, there was mucho more
mathmatics
that got me to this point in the proof. You just saw the end results.

where a is the semimajor axis, and p is the period. In this case, a is
measured in units of the Earth-Sun distance, called an Astronomical
Unit, or
AU for short. 1 AU is about 150 million kilometers. The period is
measured
in years. Planet X is alleged to have a period of 3600 years. By
plugging it
into that equation, we can solve for a. In this case, a = 235 AU, or
35
billion kilometers. That's a long way! Pluto, on average, is about 35
or so
AU away, or only 5 billion kilometers. Planet X, if it orbits on an
ellipse,
can get as far as 235 AU away, 7 times the distance of Pluto.
But wait! Most people claim it's on a very elliptical orbit. That
means it
can get close to Earth. The diameter of the orbit must be 2 x a = 470
AU. If
it gets as close to the Sun as the Earth does, 1 AU, then it must get
about
469 AU away from the Sun at its farthest point. It then takes half a
period,
or 1800 years, to come back into the solar system from that point.
An ellipse stretched this thin is practically a straight line. At
aphelion,
or farthest point from the Sun, it's velocity is so low that it might
as
well be zero. It then spends 1800 years falling toward the Sun, and
whips
around it tremendously fast, only to head out into deep space again.
Now I will digress very briefly into escape velocity. When you throw a
rock
in the air, it goes up some distance, slowing all the way up. It
stops, then
falls back down, accelerating all the way. If you throw it harder, it
goes
faster and gets higher, but it will always fall back down.
Unless, that is, you throw it really hard. Remember, the gravity of
the
Earth weakens as you get farther from it. If you throw that rock high
enough, the gravity it feels from the Earth will get weaker. If you
throw it
hard enough, the weakening gravity will not be able to get the rock to
fall
back to the Earth. The velocity at which this happens is called the
escape
velocity.
For the Earth, this velocity is about 11 kilometers/second. A rock
thrown
this hard will go up, slowing all the time. But the gravity of the
Earth is
never quite enough to make it stop, so it always slows, but never
falls
back. In a sense (mathematically this is exact) the rock will stop at
an
infinite distance from the Earth.
The critical thing here is that the reverse is true as well. If you go
really really far away from the Earth and drop a rock, it will impact
at
escape velocity! The equation for this is exactly reversible; it
doesn't
care whether rock is going up or down.
Escape velocity depends on your distance form an object too. It's much
easier to throw a rock hard enough to go on forever if you are already
a
long way from the Earth. Earth's gravity is weaker far away, so the
escape
velocity is lower. In fact, escape velocity is mathematically
represented as
escape velocity = square root(2 x G x mass/distance) where G is
Newton's
constant (just a number you plug into the equation), mass is the mass
of the
object and distance is your distance from it.
You can see that if the distance gets bigger, the escape velocity
drops,
just like in my example above. So why is this important to Planet X?
Because
at 470 AU, Planet X would be essentially infinitely far away from the
Sun.
If it fell toward the Sun from this distance, it will round the Sun at
just
a hair under the Sun's escape velocity at that distance. This means
that we
can always know the velocity of Planet X everywhere in its orbit: its
just a
teeny bit less than the Sun's escape velocity at that distance.
At its most distant, that's about 1 kilometer/second. At 1 AU (the
Earth's
distance), it's about 42 kilometers/second. In general, if you know
how fast
something is moving, you can calculate its distance. For example, say
you
are in a car moving 100 kilometers per hour. How far will you move in
an
hour? Easy: 100 kilometers! So if a car is an hour away at that speed,
you
can say it is 100 km away.
A planet, though, is not moving at a constant speed. It's accelerating
as it
heads toward the Sun. If you assume constant speed to get the
distance,
you'll get the wrong answer. The only way to do this is with calculus.
Bear
with me here.
The method is described by Dr. Joseph Gallant, Assistant Professor of
Physics at Kent State University, on this page. He solves the equation
for
time, given the mass of the Sun and the distance a planet must travel.
He
gets this:
In this case, a is the maximum distance of Planet X, or 469 AU. R is
the
distance at which you want to know the time; in this case, when Planet
X
passes the Earth, or 1 AU. r is a dummy variable, which means it has
no
value to plug in, it's the variable you are integrating. M is mass and
G is
again Newton's constant. What we want to do is assume a time of 1 year
(that
is, when Planet X is one year away, in May 2002) and see what R is.
But
first we have to integrate the equation.
It's a difficult equation to integrate. However, computers do this
kind of
stuff pretty well. I used a program to integrate this for me. Just to
check,
I used an R of 470 AU (Planet X's max distance from the Sun), and got
a time
of 1781.4 years, which is pretty close to the "correct" value of 1800
years
(half the period, since it is only going half an orbit), only off by
about
1%. So it looks good.
Then I put in an R of 1 AU. It got a time of 1781.2789 years. That's
how
long Planet X takes to fall from the tippy top of its orbit all the
way to
Earth. So now all I had to do was try different values of R until I
got a
time of 1780.2789 years, which would put it one year from the Earth
(1781.2789 - 1780.2789 = 1 year). I did this, and the best value I got
was
about 5.9 AU, or just under 900 million kilometers away.
So there you have it! When I originally did this calculation, I made a
bad
assumption and got a distance of 550 million kilometers. I assumed it
was
starting from there, and so it took a year to fall to Earth. But it
already
has built up some velocity from it's long fall inward from 470 AU
away, so
at 550 million kilometers form Earth its velocity is not zero!
However, note
that when I correct for this, it only gets farther away by a factor of
two.
That's because even after falling all that way, it still isn't moving
terribly fast when it passes 550 million kilometers away.
One more thing. We can use this equation to figure out how far away
Planet X
will be at a given time from closest approach. Here are my results:

Has Planet X Ever Been in the Media?
There was a big media blitz when first hypothesized back in the
1980's. The
more of a realization it became, the more nervous many started to
become.
After all, this planet was already identified over 6000 years ago.
When the
possible ramifcations became apparant, the whole science of Astronomy
seemed
to fall out of sight. So, here's so clues as to if Planet X could be
out
there, just like the Sumerians and Maya say it is.
Astronomy - Search for the Tenth Planet Dec 1981
Astronomers are readying telescopes to probe the outer reaches of our
solar
system for an elusive planet much larger than Earth. Its existence
would
explain a 160-year-old mystery. ... The pull exerted by its gravity
would
account for a wobble in Uranus' orbit that was first detected in 1821
by a
French astronomer, Alexis Bouvard. Beyond Pluto, in the cold, dark
regions
of space, may lie an undiscovered tenth planet two to five times the
size of
Earth. Astronomers at the U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO) are using a
powerful
computer to identify the best target zones, and a telescopic search
will
follow soon after. ... Van Flandern thinks the tenth planet may have
between
two and five Earth masses and lie 50 to 100 astronomical units from
the Sun.
(An astronomical unit is the mean distance between Earth and the Sun.)
His
team also presumes that, like Pluto's, the plane of the undiscovered
body's
orbit is tilted with respect to that of most other planets, and that
its
path around the Sun is highly elliptical.

A pair of American spacecraft may help scientists detect what could be
a
10th planet or a giant object billions of miles away, the national
Aeronautics and Space Administration said Thursday. Scientists at the
space
agency's Ames Research Center said the two spacecraft, Pioneer 10 and
11,
which are already farther into space than any other man-made object,
might
add to knowledge of a mysterious object believed to be beyond the
solar
system's outermost known planets.
The space agency said that persistent irregularities in the orbits of
Uranus
and Neptune "suggest some kind of mystery object is really there" with
its
distance depending on what it is. If the mystery object is a new
planet, it
may lie five billion miles beyond the outer orbital ring of known
planets,
the space agency said. If it is a dark star type of objet, it may be
50
billion miles beyond the known planets; if it is a black hole, 100
billion
miles. A black hole is a hypothetical body in space, believed to be a
collapsed star so condensed that neither light nor matter can escape
from
its gravitational field.

When scientists noticed that Uranus wasn't following its predicted
orbit for
example, they didn't question their theories. Instead they blamed the
anomalies on an as yet unseen planet and, sure enough, Neptune was
discovered in 1846. Now astronomers are using the same strategy to
explain
quirks in the orbits of Uranus and Neptune.
According to John Anderson of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in
Pasadena,
Calif., this odd behavior suggests that the sun has an unseen
companion, a
dark star gravitationally bound to it but billions of miles away. ...
Other
scientists suggest that the most likely cause of the orbital snags is
a
tenth planet 4 to 7 billion miles beyond Neptune.
A companion star would tug the outer planets, not just Uranus and
Neptune,
says Thomas Van Flandern of the U.S Naval Observatory. And where he
admits a
tenth planet is possible, but argues that it would have to be so big -
a
least the size of Uranus - that it should have been discovered by now.
To
resolve the question, NASA is staying tuned to Pioneer 10 and 11, the
planetary probes that are flying through the dim reaches of the solar
system
on opposite sides of the sun.

Something out there beyond the farthest reaches of the known solar
system
seems to be tugging at Uranus and Neptune. Some gravitational force
keeps
perturbing the two giant planets, causing irregularities in their
orbits.
The force suggests a presence far away and unseen, a large object that
may
be the long- sought Planet X. ... The last time a serious search of
the
skies was made it led to the discovery in 1930 of Pluto, the ninth
planet.
But the story begins more than a century before that, after the
discovery of
Uranus in 1781 by the English astronomer and musician William
Herschel.
Until then, the planetary system seemed to end with Saturn.
As astronomers observed Uranus, noting irregularities in its orbital
path,
many speculated that they were witnessing the gravitational pull of an
unknown planet. So began the first planetary search based on
astronomers
predictions, which ended in the 1840's with the discovery of Neptune
almost
simultaneously by English, French, and German astronomers.
But Neptune was not massive enough to account entirely for the orbital
behavior of Uranus. Indeed, Neptune itself seemed to be affected by a
still
more remote planet. In the last 19th century, two American
astronomers,
Willian H. Pickering and Percival Lowell, predicted the size and
approximate
location of the trans-Neptunian body, which Lowell called Planet X.
Years
later, Pluto was detected by Clyde W. Tombaugh working at Lowell
Observatory
in Arizona. Several astronomers, however, suspected it might not be
the
Planet X of prediction.
Subsequent observation proved them right. Pluto was too small to
change the
orbits of Uranus and Neptune, the combined mass of Pluto and its
recently
discovered satellite, Charon, is only 1/5 that of Earth's moon.
Recent calculations by the United States Naval Observatory have
confirmed
the orbital perturbation exhibited by Uranus and Neptune, which Dr.
Thomas C
Van Flandern, an astronomer at the observatory, says could be
explained by
"a single undiscovered planet". He and a colleague, Dr. Richard
Harrington,
calculate that the 10th planet should be two to five times more
massive than
Earth and have a highly elliptical orbit that takes it some 5 billion
miles
beyond that of Pluto - hardly next-door but still within the
gravitational
influence of the Sun.

Shrouded from the sun's light, mysteriously tugging at the orbits of
Uranus
and Neptune, is an unseen force that astronomers suspect may be Planet
X - a
10th resident of the Earth's celestial neighborhood. Last year, the
infrared
astronomical satellite (IRAS), circling in a polar orbit 560 miles
from the
Earth, detected heat from an object about 50 billion miles away that
is now
the subject of intense speculation.
"All I can say is that we don't know what it is yet," says Gerry
Neugesbeuer, director of the Palomar Observatory for the California
Institute of Technology. Scientists are hopeful that the one-way
journeys of
the Pioneer 10 and 11 space probes may help to locate the nameless
body.
Umur ummat Islam tinggal beberapa tahun lagi. Kiamat akan segera tiba.
Begitu tema yang sering diceramahkan muballigh muda, Muhammad Ihsan
Arlansyah Tanjung (42). Tema Ma'rifatuz Zamaan atau Mengenal [tanda-
tanda] Zaman itu disebarluaskan terus oleh Ihsan dengan "berpegang
pada Al-Quran dan hadits-hadits shahih," tukasnya.
Salah satu contohnya adalah Al-Quran Surat Muhammad ayat 8, "Maka
tidaklah yang mereka tunggu-tunggu melainkan hari kiamat, (yaitu)
kedatangannya kepada mereka dengan tiba-tiba. Karena sesungguhnya
telah datang syarat-syaratnya."
Sedangkan syarat atau tanda-tanda (kecil) kiamat di antaranya
tercantum dalam Hadits Riwayat Muslim dari 'Umar bin Khaththab
Radhiallaahu 'anhu, yang diriwayatkan pula oleh Ahmad dari Ibnu
'Abbas. Bunyinya, "Apabila budak perempuan melahirkan tuannya, dan
ketika penggembala kambing yang telanjang kaki serta kekurangan
pakaian tinggal di gedung-gedung tinggi.."
Apakah fenomena di atas sudah terjadi saat ini? "Sekarang ini, anak
yang kurang ajar dan suka ngatur orangtua tidak cuma ada di Barat. Di
negeri kita yang mayoritas Muslim pun terjadi, anak menyuruh ibunya
begini-begitu. Seolah-olah anak itulah tuan, dan si ibu menjadi hamba
sahaya," jelas Ihsan.
Tanda-tanda lainnya adalah imraatus sibyaan (kekuasaan di tangan anak-
anak). Itu bisa berarti bahwa penguasa di rumah tangga adalah anak-
anak, bukan lagi orangtua. Atau, yang menjadi penguasa di masyarakat
adalah orang yang berkarakter kekanak-kanakan.
Selain itu, maraknya pemutusan silaturahim antar sesama Muslim.
Manusia masa kini rajin menggunakan telepon tetapi untuk urusan
bisnis, bukan menelepon orangtua atau saudara. Alasannya sibuk, cari
duit. Padahal kata Rasulullah, barangsiapa yang ingin dilapangkan
rezekinya dan diperpanjang umurnya, maka bersilaturahimlah. "Lucu kan
jadinya. Kita sibuk cari duit tetapi justeru memutus silaturahim,"
ujar muballigh yang setiap Senin ba'da Subuh membahas "Tafsir Fii
Zhilaalil Qur'an" karya Sayyid Quthb, di RCTI.
Apa dan bagaimana huru-hara akhir zaman itu? Kapan akan terjadinya?

kitab kepada wartawan Majalah Hidayatullah, Pabudi Utomo, dan

Melihat fenomena yang terjadi di tengah masyarakat sekarang ini,
tampaknya tanda-tanda kiamat atau akhir zaman sudah terjadi semua ya?
Belum semua. Sudah kira-kira 95 persen, jadi masih ada 5 persen yang
belum terjadi.
Kapan akhir zaman itu tiba?
Semenjak diutusnya Muhammad bin Abdullah menjadi Nabi, Allah
Subhaanahu wa ta'ala sudah menvonis bahwa ummat beliau adalah ummat
akhir zaman. Jadi pengertian akhir zaman itu sudah sejak diutusnya
Nabi Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam (Saw) yang merupakan Nabi
terakhir. Kenyataan bahwa kita adalah ummat akhir zaman menunjukkan
bahwa kita saat ini hidup di akhir zaman.
Menurut hadits shahih, masa akhir zaman ini terbagi menjadi lima :
Pertama, masa kenabian, saat Rasulullah masih hidup. Kedua, masa
Khulafaur Rasyidin, mulai Abubakar, Umar, Usman, dan Ali. Ketiga, masa
raja-raja menggigit (maalikan 'adhan), yaitu masa setelah wafatnya Ali
bin Abi Thalib Radhiyallahu 'Anhu sampai runtuhnya Daulah Khilafah
Utsmaniyah (1924). Keempat, masa maalikan jabariyan (penguasa
diktator). Kelima, masa kembalinya sistem khilafah.
Saat ini kita hidup di masa yang mana?
Sekarang masa penguasa diktator, dan sedang hot-hot-nya. Ummat Islam
sedang kalah. Tetapi itu memang sudah sunatullah, bahwa ada kalanya
menang, ada kalanya kalah. Kita pun harus optimis, akan tiba waktunya
ummat Islam memperoleh kemenangan.
Kelak penguasa diktator itu bisa dikalahkan kaum Muslimin? Begitulah
menurut hadits. Kita akan berperang melawan Yahudi, dan Yahudi akan
hancur. Yahudi akan diburu sampai manapun, sampai-sampai pohon dan
batu pun bicara, "Hai kaum Muslimin, di belakangku ada Yahudi yang
bersembunyi!" Kecuali pohon gharqad (semacam kaktus) yang merupakan
pohon Yahudi. Jangan heran, sekarang pohon gharqad itu banyak ditanam
oleh orang-orang Israel, untuk berlindung dari serangan kaum Muslimin.
Yang dimaksud Yahudi itu khusus di Israel atau juga termasuk di
Amerika Serikat (AS)? Yang pasti Yahudi Israel. Kalaupun kemudian
Yahudi-Amerika pindah ke Israel, wallahu a'lam. Dan Yahudi yang pindah
ke Israel itu berarti menyatakan diri sebagai musuh ummat Islam.
Dalam sebuah hadits diriwayatkan, sebelum akhir zaman tiba, kaum
Muslimin akan berdamai dengan Bangsa Rum. Siapa yang dimaksud Rum itu?
Saya cenderung menafsirkan Bangsa Rum adalah Eropa. Alasannya bersifat
historis. Ummat Islam atau Bangsa Arab diapit oleh dua
peradaban besar, yaitu peradaban Barat (Romawi) dan Timur (Persia).
Peradaban Barat dipengaruhi oleh tadisi-tradisi ahli kitab (Yahudi
maupun Nasrani). Timur dipengaruhi oleh kemusyrikan dan paganisme.
Memang, sekarang ada perluasan akibat globalisasi. Pengertian Timur
tidak lagi hanya Persia, tetapi juga China, India, dan lainnya.
Mereka kategorinya bukan ahli kitab tetapi disebut al-Adyaan al-
Ardhiyah atau agama-agama bumi yang banyak sekali dan didominasi
paganisme.
Apakah sekarang perdamaian itu sudah berlangsung?
Sekarang sedang berjalan, meski semu. Kenapa? Karena yang kini
memimpin dunia bukan amiirul mu'miniin. Pemimpinnya adalah kalangan
Rum, yang mengandalkan tradisi yang campur aduk dengan kebatilan
sehingga muncul kezhaliman dan ketidakadilan. Jadi, perdamaian yang
sekarang terjadi lebih tepat diartikan sebagai "kesepakatan untuk
tidak berperang". Ini terjadi sejak berakhirnya penjajahan resmi oleh
Bangsa Rum terhadap negeri-negeri kaum Muslimin.
Tampaknya ada kontradiksi. Kaum Muslimin berdamai dengan Bangsa Rum,
tetapi saat ini Rum justru dekat dengan musuh abadi ummat Islam yaitu
Yahudi? Bukan dekat, tetapi pengertian tentang Bangsa Rum sendiri
memang sudah campur aduk. Ada Nasrani dan Yahudi-nya sehingga sering
disebut Judeo-Christian civilization (peradaban Yahudi-Nasrani).
Ada pula hadits yang menyatakan, di akhir zaman, Iraq akan diboikot
oleh Bangsa Rum. Itukah yang terjadi saat ini? Ya, sudah dan sedang
berjalan.
Apa yang akan terjadi setelah itu?
Kalau mau dirangkai secara kronologis, cukup sulit ya. Tetapi di
antara tanda-tanda menjelang batas akhir tanda kecil adalah
mengeringnya sungai Eufrat dan ditemukannya gunung emas di bawah
sungai itu. Nanti akan berduyun-duyun pasukan dari berbagai bangsa
untuk memperebutkan emas itu. Setiap seratus manusia datang, 99
diantaranya tewas karena berebut emas. Dan Rasulullah SAW melarang
kaum Muslimin ikut dalam perebutan itu.
Apakah itu berupa serangan AS dan sekutu nya terhadap Iraq, seperti
yang terjadi beberapa saat lalu? Kalau itu berebut minyak atau emas
hitam.
Jadi kelak akan ditemukan emas dalam arti yang sebenarnya, bukan emas
hitam?
Saya meyakini itu memang emas yang sebenarnya. Isyarat Nabi tidak cuma
bersifat maknawi tapi juga hakiki. Seperti isyarat akan munculnya Imam
Mahdi, saya yakin itu bukan kiasan. Sosok Imam Mahdi memang ada.
Begitu juga hadits tentang Dajjal. Dajjal adalah oknum atau person.
Saat ini oknum Dajjal belum muncul, meskipun system dajjal sudah bisa
kita rasakan.
Apa sistem dajjal itu?
Sistem dajjal adalah sistem kepalsuan, seperti yang berlaku sekarang
ini. Orang menyebutnya sebagai The New World Order (Tata Dunia Baru),
meskipun kenyataannya malah tidak ada tatanan. Yang disebut pejuang
hak asasi manusia justru mereka yang sebenarnya teroris. Sedangkan
mereka yang dituduh teroris justru sebenarnya orang yang mulia di mata
Allah SWT.
Apakah yang Anda maksud dengan sistem dajjal itu adalah tatanan
kehidupan yang kini dikomandani oleh AS? Ya. Itu tercermin dalam
lembaran uang satu dollar AS. Bagian depan uang itu bergambar Presiden
AS pertama George Washington, bagian belakang bergambar piramid yang
terpotong. Letak gambar piramid ada di belakang, sebagai isyarat bahwa
di belakang AS itu ada kekuatan lain. Di atas pyramid ada segitiga
bergambar mata satu. Di atasnya ada tulisan annuity coeptis (semoga
dia senang dengan proyek ini). "Dia" yang dimaksud adalah si Mata
Satu. Di bawahnya ada tulisan novus ordo seclorum (tatanan dunia
baru). Artinya, ummat seluruh
dunia diharapkan masuk dalam proyek tatanan dunia baru dan menerima
kepemimpinan si Mata Satu.
Orang yang familier dengan hadits-hadits Rasulullah akan paham bahwa
yang dimaksud si Mata Satu adalah Dajjal.
Kapan sosok Dajjal akan muncul?
Dajjal sudah ada sejak zaman Rasulullah Saw. Hal ini dijelaskan dalam
sebuah hadits shahih yang panjang, diriwayatkan oleh Muslim dari
Fathimah binti Qais. Ada seorang pengembara Nasrani yang terdampar di
sebuah pantai, ia turun dari kapalnya kemudian bertemu dengan
binatang aneh. Binatang itu mengantarkannya ke sebuah biara.
Di biara ada seorang lelaki yang terpasung. Si terpasung langsung
bertanya, "Apakah sungai Tiberia sudah mengering? Apakah sudah muncul
seorang lelaki yang bernama Muhammad yang disebut sebagai Nabi akhir
zaman? Apakah lelaki itu sudah diusir oleh penduduk di negerinya
sendiri?" Pengembara Nasrani itu penasaran, kemudian dia menelusuri
Jazirah Arab untuk mencari lelaki yang dimaksud. Dia pun bertemu
Muhammad Saw. Dia bertanya kepada Nabi, "Siapa orang yang dipasung
itu?"
Nabi kemudian menyatakan bahwa lelaki itu adalah Dajjal. Namun Dajjal
tidak akan muncul sebelum Imam Mahdi keluar.
Kapan Imam Mahdi keluar?
Menurut Rasulullah Saw, salah satu tandanya adalah meninggal atau
terbunuhnya seorang khali fah. Namun kekhalifahan sekarang kan sudah
tidak ada. Menurut saya, khalifah yang dimaksud itu adalah seorang
pemimpin negeri Muslim yang sangat nyata. Amin Muhammad Jamaluddin,
penulis buku "Umur Ummat Islam" asal Mesir, menafsirkannya sebagai
pemimpin Kerajaan Arab Saudi. Kalau memang betul itu, berarti sudah
dekat.
Anda setuju dengan pendapat itu?
Tidak setuju sepenuhnya. Saya look and see aja. Tetapi saya yakin
bahwa hadits yang menyatakan wafatnya khalifah itu memang benar.
Menurut hadits itu, kelak Al-Mahdi akan muncul lalu dibaiat oleh
sekelompok pemuda di Ka'bah. Penguasa semenanjung Arab akan langsung
mengirim pasukan untuk menangkap para pemuda itu. Tetapi pasukan itu
akan dibenamkan ke dalam bumi oleh Allah Swt, kecuali dua orang saja.
Keduanya sengaja diselamatkan agar bisa menceritakan kepada public
bahwa teman-teman mereka telah tenggelam ke dalam bumi. Begitu kabar
ini tersiar, semua Mu'min yang paham hadits-hadits shahih tentang
munculnya Al-Mahdi akan sadar bahwa Imam Mahdi telah muncul. Mereka
akan berbondong-bondong untuk berbaiat.
Bagaimana jika dihubungkan dengan umur ummat Islam?
Menurut Muhammad Amin Jamaluddin, ketika dia menafsirkan beberapa
hadits mengenai umur ummat Yahudi, Kristen, ummat Islam, diisyaratkan
umur ummat Islam itu 1500 tahun. Sekarang sudah 1424 Hijriah, jadi
tinggal 76 tahun lagi. Itu belum dipotong waktu perjuangan Muhammad
ketika di Makkah, yang memakan waktu 13 tahun. Jadi umur ummat Islam
tinggal kira-kira 63 tahun.
Nah, kalau masa kekhalifahan di akhir zaman --yang menurut hadits akan
berlangsung 40 tahun-- terjadi pada masa damai, maka huru-hara besar
itu akan terjadi dalam kurun waktu kurang dari 23 tahun ke depan ini.
Kemunculan khilafah akan didahului oleh terjadinya huru- hara, dimana
kaum Muslimin berada di bawah komando Imam Mahdi.
Kemunculan Imam Mahdi juga akan ditandai dengan munculnya bintang
berekor atau komet. Menurut yang saya dengar dari para astronom, komet
akan muncul tahun 2022. Jadi kalau pada saat itu muncul Imam Mahdi,
sebuah perhitungan yang sangat mungkin. Bisa jadi kemunculan
Imam Mahdi justru akan lebih cepat daripada itu.
Apa ciri-ciri khusus Imam Mahdi itu?
Menurut Rasulullah Saw, namanya seperti nama Rasulullah dan ayahnya
pun sama dengan ayah Rasulullah. Ia juga disebut-sebut ngomongnya
kurang lancar, sehingga kalau bicara harus menepuk pahanya dulu.
Apakah itu berarti ia gagap, wallahu a'lam.
Saat muncul, Imam Mahdi berusia berapa?
Kira-kira seusia Nabi ketika pertama kali perang. Rasulullah pertama
kali perang ketika usianya sekitar 55 tahun, Perang Badar.
Kalau begitu, saat ini sebenarnya Imam Mahdi sudah ada ya?
Ya, sudah ada, tapi oleh Allah Swt belum dimunculkan. Kalau sekarang
kita tidak tahu Imam Mahdi itu siapa, bukan hal yang aneh, karena
memang ia fenomena yang akan muncul mendadak.
Bukankah sudah ada beberapa orang yang mengaku sebagai Imam Mahdi?
Tidak bisa. Imam Mahdi itu dibaiat oleh 313 pemuda di Ka'bah. Jumlah
itu sama dengan pasukan Perang Badar. Baiatnya bersifat terbuka,
meskipun sebenarnya Imam Mahdi enggan dijadikan pemimpin. Kalau ada
yang mengaku-aku Imam Mahdi, itu omong kosong.
Apakah kelak Imam Mahdi akan memimpin kekhalifahan Islam?
Ya. Sebelum itu ia akan memimpin beberapa peperangan dalam rangka
meruntuhkan
Tatanan Dunia Baru ini. Perang meruntuhkan maalikan jabariyan
(penguasa diktator) ini dimaksudkan untuk mewujudkan The Next World
Order (Tatanan Dunia Kelak).
Peperangan apa saja itu?
Ada empat perang besar. Pertama, perang melawan penguasa semenanjung
Arab.Kaum Muslimin menang. Kedua, perang melawan penguasa zhalim
Persia, juga menang. Ketiga, perang melawan Rum atau Eropa, juga
menang. Terakhir perang melawan Dajjal dan 70 ribu tentara Yahudi.
Ketika Imam Mahdi sedang berkonsolidasi di Damaskus (Suriah), waktu
shalat Shubuh tiba. Iqamat dikumandangkan, lalu Imam Mahdi hendak maju
menjadi imam. Muncul tanda besar kedua akan terjadinya hari kiamat,
yaitu Isa 'Alaihissallam (As) turun di Menara Putih, masjid
sebelah timur Damaskus.
Imam Mahdi memohon agar Isa yang menjadi imam shalat. Namun Isa As
menolak, "Demi Allah, inilah kelebihan ummat Muhammad, sebagian engkau
menjadi pemimpin sebagian ummat lainnya. Engkau pemimpin ummat ini,
Imam Mahdi, Engkau yang memimpin shalat. Aku menjadi ma'mum."
Sesudah shalat, mereka bertolak menuju hari bertemunya dua pasukan.
Yaitu pasukan kaum Muslimin yang dipimpin Imam Mahdi dan Nabi Isa As,
melawan pasukan Yahudi yang dipimpin Dajjal.
Perang ini terjadi dimana?
Persisnya saya tidak tahu, tetapi tidak jauh dari Baitul Maqdis.
Menurut hadits, ketik a melihat Isa As dari kejauhan, Dajjal
"mengkerut" lalu berusaha kabur. Ia dikejar terus oleh Nabi Isa sampai
akhirnya terbunuh di pintu Lod, salah satu pintu masuk ke Baitul
Maqdis. Dajjal tewas tertusuk tombak. Nabi Isa As lalu mengangkat
tinggi-tinggi tombak itu, supaya orang-orang yang selama
ini percaya pada Dajjal dan menganggapnya sebagai Tuhan, menyadari
bahwa sikap itu keliru.
Kekhalifahan nanti pusatnya dimana?
Pusatnya di Baitul Maqdis.
Setelah umur ummat Islam berakhir, apa yang terjadi kemudian? Menurut
hadits, setelah khilafah berdiri, kemakmuran akan terjadi dimana-
mana. Pada masa itu tetap ada orang kafir, sampai pada masa tertentu
Allah Swt mendatangkan tanda akhir zaman, yaitu hembusan angin sepoi-
sepoi dari arah Yaman (selatan). Itu terjadi setelah wafatnya Isa Ibnu
Maryam. Semua orang Islam, hatta yang hanya punya keimanan sebiji
zarah, akan menghirup udara itu dan meninggal dengan damai. Ya sudah,
selesai. Berakhi rlah umur ummat Islam.
Di dunia tinggal ummat yang kafir 24 karat. Terjadilah kekacauan dan
kehancuran luar biasa, karena tidak ada lagi amar ma'ruf nahi munkar.
Nabi menggambarkan, saat itu manusia tak akan malu-malu bersenggama
seperti keledai di jalanan. Makkah dan Madinah dihancurkan, sehingga
datanglah kiamat yang mengerikan. Alhamdulillah, ummat Islam tidak
akan mengalami fase penghancuran yang amat mengerikan itu.
Tidak banyak ulama atau ustadz yang concern bicara tentang tema akhir
zaman. Ihsan Tandjung pun menyadari hal itu. Bahkan ia kerap mendengar
celoteh masyarakat, yang mengungkapkan ketidaksukaannya kepada
muballigh yang bicara tentang akhir zaman, syurga, dan neraka.
"Masyarakat kita menganggap kehidupan akhir zaman sebagai hal yang
tidak penting," Ihsan menyimpulkan.
Meski begitu, Ihsan tetap percaya diri untuk terus maju. Imam Mahdi,
Dajjal, Armageddon, kiamat, adalah kosakata yang kerap meluncur dari
bibirnya ketika ceramah. "Masyarakat harus terus diingatkan,"
alasannya.
Ihsan juga terus mengingatkan agar kaum Muslimin waspada terhadap
fitnah kaum Yahudi yang mengepung dari segala penjuru. "Dunia saat ini
memang sangat tidak ramah terhadap nilai-nilai keimanan," ujarnya
sewaktu ceramah di sebuah instansi pemerintah di Jakarta.
Konflik kaum Muslimin dengan Yahudi memang sudah sunnatullah. Ihsan
menyebutnya sebagai sunnah at-tadafu' al-insany (ketentuan Ilahi
berupa pergolakan antarmanusia). "Konflik antara ummat Islam dan
Yahudi adalah konflik hakiki," kata penulis buku "Pertarungan Abadi"
ini.
Selain tema-tema memahami zaman, Ihsan juga rajin menyerukan
digalangnya ukhuwwah antar harakah Islam. Menurutnya, jika kita
menghayati desain besar Allah untuk mengakhiri zaman ini, maka
berbagai friksi dan ketegangan yang terjadi di antara gerakan Islam
menjadi kurang relevan. "Kita harus semakin rajin merapatkan barisan,
seperti pada shalat berjama'ah," katanya.
Menurut Anda, kenapa tema tentang akhir zaman kurang disukai oleh
masyarakat? Tidak aneh, sebab itu sudah diisyaratkan Nabi sejak
berabad-abad yang lalu. Kata Rasulullah Saw, "Dajjal tidak akan muncul
sebelum ummat manusia lupa membicarakan Dajjal dan imam-imam di mimbar
pun tidak menerangkan lagi tentang Dajjal."
Rasulullah juga sudah menganjurkan agar kita berdoa usai membaca
tahiyat akhir di setiap shalat, seperti diriwayatkan Imam Bukhari. Isi
doa itu adalah permohonan agar kita terhindar dari fitnah
jahanam, fitnah dunia, dan fitnah Dajjal. Sayang, ummat Islam sering
mengabaikan masalah ini.
Kenapa Anda concern bicara tentang tema ini?
Huru-hara akhir zaman itu sudah sangat dekat. Ummat harus diingatkan.
Kalau tidak, saya khawatir mereka tidak sanggup mengantisipasi huru-
hara atau munculnya Imam Mahdi itu. Misalnya, bila nanti Imam Mahdi
muncul, mereka tidak bergabung tetapi malah mencaci maki. Bisa saja
nanti CNN akan memberitakan bahwa Imam Mahdi itu seorang teroris.
Kalau kita ikut-ikutan, kan repot.
Selama ini, tema akhir zaman biasanya cuma menjadi serpihan-serpihan
lepas dari tema yang lain. Padahal Nabi telah menjelaskan kepada kita
akan adanya grand design dari Allah. Mestinya ummat berlomba-lomba
untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan grand design itu, yang pasti akan tetap
berjalan terlepas apakah kita setuju atau tidak.
Kita jangan cuma mengandalkan otak sendiri dalam merancang perjuangan.
Kekalahan ummat Islam saat ini sudah amat parah, bagaimana otak kita
akan mengalahkan musuh?
Kalau kita di suruh membuat pesawat F-16, belum tentu dalam waktu 100
tahun bisa. Tentu saja kita tidak boleh menjadi fatalis. Kita harus
berbuat semaksimal mungkin. Dan ada satu momentum yang harus
diantisipasi. Begitu momentum itu datang, namun kita tolak, maka
berarti kita kehilangan peluang untuk menjemput kemenangan. Kita harus
terlibat di dalamnya.
Ada sebagian orang berpendapat, hadits-hadits tentang akhir zaman itu
derajatnya tidak sampai mutawatir. Bagaimana menurut Anda? Saya ini
bukan ahli hadits ya. Tetapi tanda-tanda akhir zaman yang ditulis para
ulama rasa-rasanya tidak pernah luput membahas tentang Imam Mahdi.
Apa yang seharusnya dilakukan ulama, berkaitan dengan huru-hara akhir
zaman?
Mestinya para ulama banyak berbicara tentang ini, harus bisa menjadi
sumber ilmu bagi kita. Anehnya, justru orang yang menulis buku-buku
akhir zaman berasal dari orang teknik. Misalnya Amin Muhammad
Jamaluddin, penulis buku "Umur Ummat Islam", berlatar belakang
insinyur. Belakangan ia baru menempuh S-2 di Fakultas Da'wah
Universitas Al-Azhar, Kairo. Bukunya itu betul-betul spektakuler dan
menjadi best-seller.
Kenapa bukan ulama yang menulis itu?
Jangan-jangan ini sebuah isyarat bahwa kelak ketika Imam Mahdi datang,
beberapa ulama akan menolak sebagaimana pendeta-pendeta Yahudi-Nasrani
menolak Nabi Muhammad. Tidak mustahil pula ada aktivis harakah yang
akan menolak kedatangan Imam Mahdi itu. Dan sebaliknya, orang Islam
yang saat ini masih bergelimang kemaksiatan tidak mustahil bisa
menjadi prajurit-prajurit yang bergabung dalam barisan Imam Mahdi.
Beragama itu bukan urusan ilmu semata, tapi juga amal.
Dengan tema ceramah futuristik tentang akhir zaman, apakah pernah ada
orang yang menilai Anda sebagai ustadz yang suka menjadi pengkhayal?
Alhamdulillah belum ada. Tetapi banyak yang bertanya, misalnya tentang
kemunculan Isa Al-Masih.
Bukankah ini bertentangan dengan dalil Al-Quran yang menyatakan bahwa
Muhammad adalah Nabi terakhir?
Tidak, karena Isa As nanti datang tidak menjadi Nabi yang membawa
kitab baru. Ia menyempurnakan tugas yang belum sempat dikerjakan
dulu, yaitu mengajak kembali ahli kitab (Yahudi dan Nasrani) untuk
masuk Islam.
Ada pula sunnah yang belum dikerjakan Isa As, yaitu menikah. Padahal
beliau kan pengikut syariat Muhammad. Ada beberapa hadits shahih yang
berisi tentang Isa as akan menikah.
Isa As akan turun dalam usia 33 tahun, persis seperti usia ketika dia
dulu diangkat Allah Swt ribuan tahun lalu. Ibarat tape recorder, Isa
as sekarang ini sedang "pause", nanti turun akan "play" lagi. Kelak,
menurut hadits, Isa As akan wafat dan dimakamkan di dekat pemakaman
Rasulullah, Abu Bakar, dan Umar di Masjid Nabawi. Saat ini tempat itu
masih kosong, dan memang disediakan untuk Nabi Isa As.
Ihsan Tandjung, dilahirkan di Kualalumpur (Malaysia), 24 Agustus 1961.
Masa kecil sampai remaja bungsu dari lima bersaudara ini banyak
dihabiskan di luar negeri. Maklum, ayahnya, Zainal Arifin Tandjung
(almarhum) adalah seorang diplomat. Ibunya, Zulhana Nasution. Keluarga
diplomat ini baru bisa tinggal tetap di Jakarta setelah sang kepala
keluarga pensiun. Saat itu Ihsan duduk di bangku SMA. Lulus sekolah
lanjutan atas, Ihsan melanjutkan kuliah di Fakultas Psikologi
Universitas Indonesia.
Selama di kampus, pria ramah ini banyak terlibat dalam kegiatan
keruhanian. Namun, karena semakin gelisah berhadapan dengan ilmu
psikologi yang sudah banyak dipengaruhi pemikiran sekuler dan atheis,
Ihsan berhenti kuliah. Ia menekuni bahasa Inggris di universitas yang
sama, dan bahasa Arab di LIPIA, Jakarta.
Pada tahun 1984, Ihsan kerap mengisi pembinaan ruhani pelajar SMA di
wilayah Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Sejak itulah ia terbiasa tampil di
atas mimbar. Bahkan kemudian Ihsan sering diundang ceramah ke luar
negeri.
Saat ini wajahnya kerap menghiasi layar televisi. Bagi pelanggan Al-
Quran Seluler via telepon genggam, suaranya tentu tak asing lagi.
Sebuah situs berita di internet bernama Eramuslim juga memintanya
menjadi konsultan keluarga. "Yang ini lebih banyak ditangani istri
saya," kata suami Siti Aisyah Nurmi Bachtiar ini.
Kini jadwal ceramahnya semakin padat. Tak jarang, dia sudah harus
meninggalkan rumah sebelum Shubuh untuk mengisi ceramah. Bulan
Ramadhan mendatang, jadualnya sudah full. Ketika Hidayatullah
mewawancarainya, Ihsan secara berurutan dalam sehari harus mengisi
pengajian di tiga tempat yang berbeda. Di sela-sela acara itu, Ihsan
menyempatkan pulang sejenak untuk "menyapa" keluarganya. Baru kemudian
berangkat ceramah lagi.
Ihsan Tandjung tinggal di Kelapa Dua, Depok (Jawa Barat), bersama
istri dan sembilan anak yang sangat dicintai dan mencintainya.
Jadwal ceramah Anda cukup padat. Apakah tidak pernah merasa letih
untuk berda'wah?
Kalau letih fisik ya jelas dong. Tetapi letih dalam arti mental,
alhamdulillah tidak. Bagi saya, da'wah adalah kegiatan yang sudah
melekat dalam hidup.
Apa resepnya agar tetap bersemangat di jalan da'wah?
Terus membuka mata dan telinga. Akan tampak jelas di depan saya,
kondisi masyarakat sangat memprihatinkan. Itu membuat saya berpikir,
ternyata da'wah kita ini belum apa-apa. Malah saat ini aktivis da'wah
dituduh menjadi teroris.
Anda juga aktif berda'wah di luar negeri. Punya pengalaman yang
mengesankan?
Banyak. Orang-orang Islam di luar negeri ramah-ramah. Saya pernah
bertemu orang Turki di sebuah masjid di Jerman. Ketika dia tahu bahwa
saya orang Indonesia, dia langsung mengajak saya ke sebuah ruangan.
Dia menunjukkan peta wilayah kekhalifahan Turki Utsmany yang
membentang dari Maroko (Afrika) sampai Maluku (Indonesia). "Inilah
wilayah kita, tapi dulu," begitu katanya.
Ketika di Arizona (AS), saya ketemu dengan seorang pemuda yang mengaku
lahir di Palestina. Saya memperkenalkan diri dengan nama panggilan di
rumah, yaitu Abu Izzuddin. Karena salah satu anak saya bernama
Izzuddin Al-Qassam. Dia langsung memeluk saya, erat sekali. "Ketika
Anda menyebut nama salah seorang tokoh pejuang yang betul-betul
membela Palestina, saya jadi yakin bahwa orang seperti Anda inilah
yang akan ikut membebaskan Palestina," katanya.
Ada pengalaman yang tidak menyenangkan?
Ada, masih di AS, sekitar tahun 1994. Saya diundang ceramah di Islamic
Centre oleh orang Malaysia di sana. Dia berkata, "Maaf Ustadz, yang
dengerin ceramah cuma orang Indonesia." "Kenapa?" saya tanya. "Kalau
kita mengadakan acara pengajian terbuka, Muslim dari
berbagai negara pasti datang kecuali dari I ndonesia. Kalau ustadznya
dari Indonesia dan undangannya dikhususkan untuk orang Indonesia,
insya Allah mereka akan datang."
Kenapa bisa begitu? Dia menjawab, "Karena orang Indonesia jarang ke
masjid."
Rupanya, orang Indonesia kalau kumpul ya sesama orang Indonesia saja.
Itupun tidak di masjid. Menurut pandangan teman Malaysia itu, orang
Indonesia di luar negeri seperti katak dalam tempurung. Ini fenomena
yang memang sering saya jumpai. Kalau kita ke Islamic Centre atau
masjid, kita akan mudah menjumpai kaum Muslimin dari Arab, Mesir,
Pakistan, Bangladesh, tetapi jarang menemui orang Indonesia. Ini
sekaligus kritik kepada para da'i, termasuk saya. Kita harus lebih
gencar menyerukan kepada orang Indonesia ini agar gemar shalat di
masjid.*
