Peter Koo, a Republican, defeated Yen Chow for the 20th District
seat in Flushing vacated by John Liu.
Margaret Chin, 56, who was born in Hong Kong will be the the first
Asian-American elected to represent the city's historic Chinatown
in Manhattan.
In 19th District in northern Queens, Democrat Kevin Kim
lost to Republican Dan Halloran by reported 1,314 votes in a debate
that had racial, religious attacks.
