Iranian inventors and scientists participating at Moscow
Archimedes Industrial Innovations Fair won five gold medals,
12 silver medals, three Archimedes Trophies and an
honorary diploma, ranking second at the event.

The 11th Moscow Archimedes Industrial Innovations Fair
was held from April 1st to 4th, 2008 at Thessaloniki Exhibitions
Fair Ground of the Russian Federation's capital city.

Four hundred inventors from Russia and 24 countries around
the world, including Iran, Australia, Malaysia, Ukraine, Moldova,
Armenia, Germany, India, Rumania and Serbia had participated
at the international scientific contest.

The Iranian team was comprised of fifty scientists affiliated to
various state and private sector organs, such as the South Tehran
and Holy Qom branches of the Islamic Open University (IOU),
Mobarakeh Steel Complex, Rasha International Industrial Studies
Institute, and Martyr Rajaei Scientific Research Center.

They presented twenty-eight innovative industrial ideas at the event.
Ali Khalaj, the Iranian inventor of an intelligent weapon and Mostafa
Tahmasb, another Iranian scientist who has invented a digital sealing
unit won two Gold Archimedes Medals of the fair.

Mohebbedin Karbasiyoun who has invented a machine to refine
industrial pollutants and Hassan Bakhtiari who has invented the
solid oil, too, each won a gold medal of the international scientific
event.

Iran's stands, keeping in mind the eye catching inventions of
the Iranian scientists, was among the most visited spots of the fair
throughout the exhibition.

The sponsor of the event was the International Archenemies Research
Center, while its cosponsors included Russia's Defense, Commerce,
and Trade Development ministries, as well as the Russian Federation's
Intellectual Copy Right Agency and Moscow Chamber of Commerce
and Industries.

Several panel discussion, seminars, and photo exhibitions were held
during the international fair, among which the panel discussion on
intellectual copy right of the industrial inventors and the seminar
on modern technologies on oil excavation were very attractive for
the participants.

The Iranian inventors and scientists had also shone well during
the previous years at Archimedes Fair.

In the year 2006 the Iranian scientists won three gold medals,
one silver medal, and an honorary diploma and in the year 2007
they added two gold medals, five silver medals and a gold trophy
of the fair to Iran's scientific achievements at international scenes.
