ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Orlando Police are trying to figure out
what caused a Georgia woman to snap. Police say Paula Harris ambushed
Andre Barboza in front of his home.

"I heard like 5 bangs. Then I heard some screaming and heard like four
more," said neighbor Lynda Vaughn. She called 911 and when she walked
out of her apartment a few minutes later she could not believe what
she saw. "Officers were every where. They were working on a guy on the
ground," said Vaughn.

That guy is her neighbor, 44 year old Andre Barboza. Police say
Barboza was ambushed by 30 year old Paula Harris, a woman from Georgia
he'd met on a social networking website.

Bullet holes peppered the front of Barboza's home and fence. "She
waited at his residence. She waited in the front area when he got home
she shot him several times," said Orlando Police Sergeant Barbara
Jones.

Police say Paula Harris turned the gun on herself and committed
suicide. At this point it's not clear how long the two had been
talking on line. Barboza told police he tried to cut things off with
Harris after she misrepresented herself in a picture she sent him.

"It was not of her," said Jones. But then police say, Harris suckered
Barboza into staying in touch by telling him she was terminally ill.

"Do you know if she really had a terminal illness?" FOX 35 asked. "We
don't know," said Sgt. Jones.

Right now police are trying to figure out what caused Harris to snap.
Marcus Pereira stopped by Barboza's house when his friend didn't show
up for work and he thought he'd recognized Barboza's car next to the
crime scene on the news.

"Its crazy. He's married. He's a laid back guy. He's not the type of
guy to be involved in a situation like that," said Pereira.

Police say that Barboza has been answering all their questions.
Officers won't say which internet site Barboza met Harris on. They're
hoping to track the communications between the to to see if they can
corroborate Barboza's story.
