Announcing the Nov meeting of the Albuquerque Soaring Assoc. The meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY,Nov 11, 2009 at 7PM in Room 407 of the Heights Cumberland Church, Moon and Academy in ABQ.

(New members and guests: The Room is in the Education Building on the
SE corner of the church complex--Don't look for a fourth floor. For
the more navigationally challenged, go to

Agenda
1: Call to order

2: Introduction of guests and new members

3: Treasurer's, Mothers' reports/Contest Results/etc.

4: Upcoming events: TD H&B F5J Fun Fly

5: Old Business: Calendar Discussions

6: New Business: Nominations for 2010 Club Officers (Election at Dec mtg)
Club shirt proposal {Efrain Vila)

7: Presentation: (?)

8: Showintell: Stuff to show/stuff to trade/Tall tales to tell.

9: Adjourn to Village Inn, Wyoming Mall (SE Corner Wyoming &
Menaul) for pies and lies.

From what I hear, nicer than Albuquerque! I've only seen snow once since I got here, and it melted right away. It can go below freezing at night, but most days are very pleasant. The main downside has been the large quantities of rain.
 
I'm pretty far north, and they tell me that the winters can be brutal. Not far from here is Montreal, which gets about 80 inches of snow a year.
