Hello,
We are glad to inform you that we have developed FIRST .net SDK for
CDMI based OpenStack Swift as part of our Final Year Engineering
Project. The idea behind developing .net SDK was that there were java
SDK available for Swift but no SDK was there in .net.
So We developed FIRST .net SDK for CDMI based OpenStack Swift.

Reading Metadata object

Hi,
For every object (container/object), a metadata file is also created in
SNIA CDMI RI. How can i read the contents of metadata file which is created
for every object? I want to use the details like cdmi_size, cdmi_ctime, etc.

Hi appa,
You can upload the image files by encoding them to base64.
Try the following code in the client program. Also you have got
to decode it in the server before the value is written to the file.
byte arr[] = Files.toByteArray(new File(

Mark,
Instead of using filter to perform authentication, we extended the class
AbstractPhaseInterceptor
in cxf to intercept the requests and perform basic authentication. We
registered the interceptor in
applicationContext.xml.

Hi Appa,
I have also installed SNIA CDMI RI although i have hte version 1.0.2. I am
able to PUT text file son my CDMI server but i want to put images, etc. in
my CDMI server. If you could get this functionality working for you can you
please help me by letting me know how exactly to upload an image in CDMI

Hi,
I have been successfully able to install the SNIA RI server on my desktop.
I am able to put/retrieve data using java client code. I wanted o use curl
to be able to put/get objects, containers. I read a few posts/blogs by Mr.
David Slik but when i try to do PUT using curl it always throws a
BadRequestException saying Invalid key:null. Can anyone guide me as to how

Hi,
I was trying to read contents of an object and i used the following snippet
to read the contents of objects. For small sized objects the code works
fine but for very large size files the value of len is returned as -1 and
it gives
Content-Type: text/plain
Transfer-Encoding: chunked

Hi,
I am able to create objects also. The error was a json parser error which i
could resolve by adding few lines in the server code.
Can anyone give me some pointers to doing http get operation on
containers/objects like listing the contents of container/object?

did you already have a look at vcdm ([link] It
can act as a S3 to CDMI proxy. Ilja is currently not actively working on
the project, but feel free to contact him through his email on GitHub to
ask for the current status.

I changed the value of my first.txt (name of my Object) and now it is
giving a different kind of error:
INFO: org.codehaus.jackson.JsonParse Exception: Illegal unquoted character
((CTRL-CHAR, code 10)): has to be escaped using backslash to be included in
string value
