You may or may not know that I've been a big fan of BeOS since around
1999 (when R3 came out) and I've followed it's progress (and
eventually demise and rebirth as Zeta, OSBOS, BlueEyed OS, Haiku,
etc.) - I still have a little P][ box set up running dual-boot BeOS
R4.5 and Dano :o) and
BeOS still flavours my coding work very heavily (as will be seen even
more with some forthcoming new products).

Anyway, this post is simply to encourage people to download and try
out the Haiku R1 Alpha 1 build now available. You can get a lovely
VMware-ready image from the site so you're good to go immediately.

Cheers for reading.

Sorry, only fun - love both Amiga and BeOS :)

AmigaOS and BeOS, awesome but before their time and killed by things
unrelated to their design.

I still wish someone would code a win32 clone of the amiga list
command! So useful and so versatile it would have been done already
had I the time, the skills, and the drive. (Basically if I was
someone else completely ;-)

Funnily enough - I started work on a command prompt replacement based
almost entirely on the bizarre (but very useful) AmigaDOS format.
Never got around to finishing it but list was one of the first
commands I worked on :o)
