I've been using Snarl for about a week and a half now. I discovered it
somewhat unusually; I was reading through the source code for Witty (a
Twitter tool) and discovered the integration code and then went to
learn more about Snarl.

After using it I've come up with a few suggestions for things that I
think would make the notifications even better:

* Hover the mouse over notifications to add time delays to them. Many
notification systems do this, including the default Windows Balloon...
If I move the mouse to hover over a notification I'd like to keep the
notification visible until I move the mouse off of it. It might be
useful to have the option to additionally set it to hold all
notifications, or all notifications for that notification's
application as well.

* There are some notifications that I would prefer to re-use existing
notification boxes for. The biggest example for me is that Play/Pause
notifications from Foobar: I would prefer to have just one
notification that continually updates on each change (probably
resetting that notifications timer as well) rather than stacking a ton
of Play notifications as I skip through my library.

I probably have a few more suggestions, but these are probably the
biggest two.

Thanks,

Welcome to Snarl! We're glad you found us, no matter how unusual the
route ;)

R2.2 (in development now) adds the ability to make individual
notifications sticky by adding an option to notification's menu, I
will add the 'don't timeout while hovering feature' as well; Sven's
requested this as well. :)

This is down to the application developer. Snarl provides an API
(snUpdateMessage()) that does just this so get on to the Foobar guys
and ask them to add this!
