Hi Guys,

I dropped into the IRC chat room to ask this a few days ago (In case you're getting a feeling of deja vu) and I've since double checked everything and I still can't get it to work so here's what I've done:

1. Build the breadboard :-)
2. Compiled the code as per the instructions (I assume this worked as I ended up with .bin and .hex files that I didn't have before)
3. Connected up an arduino board (with the chip removed) as a USB-Serial converter
3. Flashed the SD bootloader file using lpc21isp (I also originally tried Flash Magic)
4. Copied the compiled main.bin file to firmware.bin on the SD card
5. Put the SD card in the breadboard SD slot and reser the smoothie

To debug I've checked:
The USB port pins (That D+ and D- are the right way round)

The SD card pin connections:
/CS PIN 8
DI: Pin 6
VDD: +3.3v
CLK: Pin 7
VSS: GND
D0: Pin 5

And I'm not sure what to try now, any ideas?

Cheers,

Matt

Hi !

Does firmware.bin get renamed to firmware.bck ?
If not, then you probably don't have the order of the SD card pins right, try inverting DI and DO and stuff like that.

Cheers !

That did it!
Switching DI and DO worked :-)

I've not got any more time to work on it tonight, so I can't see if it does anything, but I just wanted to say thanks :)
Tomorrow I'll add motors and see what happens :-)
