I've come across a weird phenomenon.

Using smoothie charts on Chrome.

I have a delay set on my smoothie chart as I append data every second.

Just after the page is loaded, the chart is displayed perfect.
After a few minutes, the weird behaviour starts. I have attached a short video to show as I don't know how to explain what I see.
Check the right-most part of the chart.

Any ideas?

Hi Cronje,

Where are your timestamp values coming from? Perhaps try writing some debug output to the console that shows the timestamps you're saving and the current time via new Date().getTime(). If these values diverge over time, it would explain the behaviour shown in your videos.

How long is 'a while' in this case? I've run charts for several hours before and never seen this kind of issue.

Note that the timestamps used in smoothie-charts are relative to the browser's own clock.

Drew.
