  Nope,
 A Secret Society<g> is having a pig pickin way back in the palmettos and gallberry bushes East of US 301 in North Central Florida. A couple of them is coming here in the morning and we gonna kill one of my pet wild pigs to be the Guest of Honor.
  While they here I am going to have them catch the little male pig from the last litter and I am going to relieve him of his family jewels.
  Then next weekend  me and my Cousins Girlfriend is gonna kill the male pig that I never did catch and cut from the last litter. I'll cook that one in my pit for Cousins birthday.
  We gonna be eatin a lot of pig.
  Bob in Ga and Ginger is coming down from GA. The Fatman, Howard Bricker,Pigman Jim and Myra and perhaps Steve Sheffield will be here.
  I gonna make slaw and cook a big pot of greens and maybe a pot of Haslet Stew (liver and lights). Also donating a couple jars of pickled quail eggs for Saturday.
  Set out some Datil pepper, Ghost pepper, Scotch Bonnet, Jalapeno Pepper and banana Pepper plants in my garden this morning and planted 4 more rows of white dent corn for roasting ears and some for grinding for cornmeal and grits.
  I finally after 70 years ate some hominy a few weeks ago at Miz Martha's and liked them, so I reckon I make some with my corn later in the fall.
  Putting in a bed of blackeye peas for canning. Will still have one bed left, I might just plant that in peas too. Or maybe more corn.
  Gotta go gather eggs before them hungry chickens eat them all.
Nope no comps here this weekend
OH, Earl the Friendly Plumber is coming up too.

I've got a joint high school graduation party to attend for three boys.  I helped teach two of the fathers how to use a smoker and both of them subsequently purchased a WSM.  For the first time in a long time I just have to show up knowing that I will eat well.  Not a bad way to spend the day.

  Ed and George was late getting here BUTT they got the job done.
  First time I used a torch to get the pin feathers off a pig. That pig is way bigger than it looks in the picture.
That's 150 quart ice chest.
  According to Bobinga this is a good size for the pit.
  One I am doing next week is some smaller.
  Anyway it was sitting on some ice and they on the way to the icehouse to get more.
  They gonna start it fist thing in the morning and we should eat around 3.
