I like it.  We're going to spread our wings (so to speak) at the new place and do some of this funky kind of stuff.

It's great to see you doing so well in this economy!  Would really like to make it down to San Jose and give it a try.

Thanks, Jon.  Never would have happened without you guys.  You know that, right?  You fed my love of the craft and guided me along the learning curve.  And it's been a fun ride.  So, hope you all are enjoying it as much as I am.   Pics and other stuff on Facebook under my name and under smoking pig too.

Congratulations Paul. I hope it’s another hog heaven!

Hopefully I’ll make the drive down in the next couple of weeks.

The wife and I will be going to Texas, just S. of Dallas in the next couple weeks. We are going to be traveling for a couple days, first weekend of June, be in Austin a couple nights and then near Dallas for a few days.  My question, where are some places to stop along the way to eat, and where in Texas is worth stopping? We look for the small out of the way places. Many of you have traveled and eaten, so send any ideas, and we'll see if it gets on the travel menu.  All ideas are appreciated.

Yeah, it's kind of risky.  Both places will be on the line.  Worst case we can make it a topless bar.

Do you want BBQ? Here are some sites to research. I met a local in Louie Mueller's (excellent brisket) and asked him the best place in Lockhart. He said that he had always said Kreuz until he did a blind taste test with Kreuz, Smitty's, and Black's. His wife and he picked Black's.
