Just had a coffee encrusted rib eye...gotta learn to make this. Any ideas? No grittiness at all...wow.

I’m just guessing that you have to grind the beans super fine. Personally, I like my steaks with just salt and pepper, and my coffee in a cup.

Me too, Kurt.  Hey, PS:  I remember some discussions about wyogi? beef and such.  Alexander's here has a cold case with that meat on display.  It's pricey but I would love to try it some time.

Hey Will!  How you doing?  Great to 'see' you again.

Ok, that tears it.  I'm gonna go pop for it.  Can you suggest a cut and thickness?  Last thing I want to happen is have them ruin it by not doing it right.

I buy Saga most of the time. For grilled steak I prefer the filet about 1" thick. very hot fire and cooked rare,S & P only. 3 or 4 oz. is a good size.
for strip or rib eye- cut thin and cook over hot coals for just a few seconds. What ever you do DON'T over cook it or you will end up with shoe leather!!!!!
