Typecasting variables

Hi,
I just noticed that typecasting variables in IF statements cause a
syntax error. Sometimes it's useful to have it, for example here: {if
(string)$object1 == (string)$object2}do something{/if}
Do you have plans to add support for it?

Typecasting is now supported. Update is in the SVN
