We tried to view
http://futurist.se/gldt/wp-content/uploads/11.10/gldt1110.svg at the Old
Chicago meeting without success. The question was asked where Linux
From Scratch (LFS) lies. As we suspected, it's on its own path.
However, the chart lists ZENIX and NyTyX as offshoots.

I'd heard of neither and the home page of ZENIX describes it as a Debian
remix. Huh? Bottom line, I can't vouch for the accuracy/logic of the
chart, but it's interesting.

And for those who like to tinker, LFS-7.0 has recently been released on
the 3.1 kernel. What's perhaps more significant is the Beyond Linux
From Scratch (BLFS) is largely caught up with LFS. It's not an
official BLFS-7.0 release, but not bad. The responsiveness of the
editors has been quite good.
