So, I graduated college in 2001, and my gpa was not the greatest,
about 2.75. I live in Austin, and even though I have a degree from a
pretty difficult school, I can't get into UT unless I do the fresh
start program, basically waiving all of my previous coursework, or
jump through some other ridiculous set of hoops. I want to get into a
masters program in SLP, but really don't want to go through four years
to get my bachelor's again, when I could do it in one or two if I were
accepted as a transfer.
     Where should I turn? At this point in my life with a full time
job and a baby I would probably prefer to take classes online, but I
need to know about some programs that can get over the study habits
and lack of focus I had at 18, 20, as opposed to the focus I have at
30. What, if any, correspondence programs (Bachelor's and Master's)
are a little more lenient in GPA considerations of applicants. Is
there a program that streamlines directly from Bachelor's into
Master's, in addition to allowing me to transfer in, rather than
starting anew?
