Subject: Its Not Too Hot to Garden Workshop Coming Up
June 15, 7pm It's Not Too Hot to Garden Workshop!

Event Location:Downtown Farmers' Garden (COunty Administration
Building, Main street side)

Summer gardening in Florida is for most of us, the time when we
retreat from the heat, bugs and diseases than can plague us and our
gardens. But there is plenty to think about over the next few months!
Join us for a workshop at the Downtown Farmers Garden on Wednesday
June, 2011 from 7-8:30PM. Wendy Wilber of Alachua County IFAS
Extension will lead a conversation about summer crops, cover cropping,
seed saving, solarization and much more for your backyard summer
garden.

Come share your ideas, ask questions, and bring samples from the
garden you may have questions about. We will showcase some of the
various topics and techniques at the onsite gardens. Refreshments will
be provided, but please remember your own water bottle. Bring a chair
if you wish and your own notebook to scribble notes. Please RSVP to
growgainesville@gmail.com . The admission is one healthy non-
perishable item to be collected for a family in need. If you have
seeds or plants to share please bring them.
