Subject: Dig In! Community Garden Cleanup and Harvest

WHAT: Grinnell Community Garden Cleanup and Harvest
WHEN: September 25th 2:30-5:30 with potluck to follow
WHERE: Grinnell Community Garden in Miller Park

Slow Food Grinnell is sponsoring a cleanup and harvest event at the
Grinnell Community Garden on September 25th as part of the Slow Food USA
Dig In campaign.  We'll be helping catch up on weeding, clearing a mint
patch as the site of a future herb bed and helping harvest as needed.

The Grinnell Community Garden aims to increase awareness of
gardening in the Grinnell Community.  The garden at Miller Park was
sited to allow children for the Elementary and Middle schools easy
access.

After the work is over, we'll regroup at the Davis residence for a
well earned potluck supper.

What to bring to the work party:
 - Any tools you think would be handy
 - Work gloves

Slow Food Grinnell will provide water and Cider

Please bring a local dish to server 4 to the potluck.

If you plan to come, please RSVP to i...@slowfoodgrinnell.org.  We'll
provide you with potluck details based on that.  If you can't make the
work session feel free to attend only the potluck just let us know.  If
there are enough workers we'll expand the scope to include the Grinnell
College Student Garden.
