Slow Food Grinnell is sponsoring a cleanup and harvest event at the Grinnell Community Garden on October 2nd as part of the Slow Food USA Dig In campaign. We'll be helping catch up on weeding, clearing a mint patch as the site of a future herb bed and helping harvest as needed. The Grinnell Community Garden aims to increase awareness of gardening in the Grinnell Community. The garden at Miller Park was sited to allow children for the Elementary and Middle schools easy access. What to bring to the work party: - Any tools you think would be handy (especially weeding tools) - Work gloves - A snack or drink to share Slow Food Grinnell with provide water, cups, and napkins. -- Brooks
