I've just update the website to allow registration for this ride.  For full details see the ride page - http://slorandonneur.org/2023-brevets/600k-pinnacles-traveler-v2
Please read the entire description including the refund section.

Please note that this is a slightly different route than the previous Pinnacles 600k, it starts in San Jose South which means it's a little harder to get to but it's on the blue  line from downtown San Jose and has a good park n ride.  The benefit is we no longer have a lot of urban riding to do when we leave the San Jose area.  I'm still finishing the detailed route including the final location of the finish but it will be in the north part of Oxnard.

We will have transportation of drop bags but it will be strictly limited to 20lbs due to capacity constraints. I know some rides say this and then don't weight the bags, we will weighing each bag and there will be no transportation for overweight bags with no exception.  If this doesn't work for you either find a different method for your bag transport or don't register for the ride.

Registration: Anyone can register but the priority for the next two weeks will be given to riders who had previously signed up on the interest list. That list is currently slightly less than 40 people so if you expressed interest and register by March 5th then you will be  on the ride. If your name is not on the list you can still register and assuming there is space you will be placed on the ride, once we hit 40 registered participants you will be placed on the waitlist. I will limit the number of slots (registered + waitlist) to 60 to start. For folks on the waitlist you can cancel at any time and I will refund you registration less the PayPal fees(approx. $3).

Thanks

Hey Grant:

I noticed that Pinnacles is still not registered as a ACP Brevet - do you happen to have an guess on whether it will definitely be approved?

Oh good call, Jinuk. Yes, I was planning to use this as a PBP qualifier, so ACP status is key.

I see it on the ACP calendar, but it's just listed as being in USA and not in CA. I assume this means it is ACP approved?

The ride will be an ACP 600K which will make it an eligible qualifier ride for PBP.

We have had a lot of registrations so if your name is not on the http://slorandonneur.org/pinnacles-rider-list/ then please DO NOT REGISTER for the ride as we already have a large waitlist and I will just have to cancel your registration if you are not on the Priority Registration List.  For those on the Priority list it would be great if you could register so that I figure out how many of the other entries can be moved to the registered rider list from the waitlist.

Great news, thank you Grant.

One more question, of interest to Bay Area riders: can we also park at the Residence Inn for the duration of the brevet? It's only an hour drive for me to the start, so I might prefer to do that rather than stay over the night before. (I booked a room at the overnight controle in Santa Maria, but didn't book for the start yet).

I have not inquired about parking at the Residence Inn, I believe there is parking not too far away for the VTA Blue Line transit station that if I read correctly can be used for leaving your car but you should double check that.

FYI to everyone, I just heard back from the overnight hotel in Santa Maria. Unfortunately, they are out of rooms at the group rate.
