There are lots of disk errors occurring at the moment for the
[www.sljfaq.org/cgi] site. I don't know what the origin of the
problems is, but this is affecting everything which needs to read a
file or a database, so the j2e dictionary is failing completely, and
the e2k converter is falling back to guesses based on the spelling.

These problems seem to have started on 26th January at about 6:30 GMT
and have been continuing since then. I didn't change any of the
programs at that time or after, and they were all working correctly
before then, so I assume this is due to some kind of problem with the
web hosts.

I have reported it to the web hosts as a system problem.

The site is now working correctly. According to the message from the
web hosts:

Finding: Problem Resolved
Comment: Member did not specify affected site but I found a node where
lockd was not running.
