search_slideshows API

Hello,

I have a problem with your API, i looking for slide in french
language, i use the search_slideshows API.

My request is:

http://www.slideshare.net/api/2/search_slideshows/?api_key=".$key."&ts=".$ts."&hash=".$hash."&q=cancer
du sein&lang=fr

And on return, in the response xml, i have all the language. Some
slides is in en <Language>en</Language>, <Language>ar</Language>

I don't understand why ?

And another question: your API search on the title of the documents or
in all the content of the document ?

Hi Coralie,

This was a bug which has now been taken care of. You can add filters for language in the search_slideshows call. The list of supported languages are ['ar', 'bg', 'ca', 'da', 'de', 'el', 'en', 'es', 'et', 'fa', 'fi', 'fr', 'fy', 'ga', 'he', 'hi', 'hr', 'hu', 'io', 'is', 'it', 'ja', 'ko', 'nl', 'no', 'pl', 'pt', 'ro', 'ru', 'sl', 'sv', 'th', 'uk', 'vi', 'zh']. If this param is not specified, no filter on language is applied.

I am having some problem with this method too.
This is my request:
http://www.slideshare.net/api/2/search_slideshows?api_key=$key&ts=$ts&hash=$hash&q=php&detailed=1&items_per_page=50&sort=latest&page=1&lang=**
The first item for its is from 2007, is there a way to order/sort it
from newest to oldest?

This issue stands resolved now. You should be able to sort the results on the basis of upload date using "sort=latest".
