We have introduced a new API call today which returns a lot of data
about a Slideshow, given it's Slideshow ID or the Slideshare URL.
Details can be found on the "Retrieving Slideshow information using
the slideshare API" section on http://www.slideshare.net/developers/documentation
page.

Data returned about the slideshow includes:

slideshow id
slideshow title
slideshow description
conversion status code
embed code
doc passed to player
total slides
doc passed in url
language code
complete url of slideshow
user id of owner
login id of owner
csv list of related slideshow id's
url of thumbnail
url of smaller thumbnail
slideshow tags

You can also use this call to extract Slideshow ID from a Slideshare
URL (which a lot of people have been asking for). For complete
documentation about all the API calls available on Slideshare, see
http://www.slideshare.net/developers/documentation . Let us know your
feedback on this new API call.

Hi,

Are the embed codes guranteed never to change at all. If its guranteed that embed code would never change in future, then i can store the embed code in database and never call the API every time.

Thanks.
