Dear prospective participant:
The Government of Jamaica, with support from the World Bank, will be hosting “Digital Jam 2.0 – The Future of Work is Online”, on June 28—30, 2012 at the Jamaica Conference Centre, Kingston.
Digital Jam 2.0 seeks to empower Jamaican youth, by creating awareness, and work opportunities in ICT and the virtual space. The Forum will feature:
· Seminars
· A 24-hour Hackathon (or coding competition)
· An apps competition, and
· A Marketplace and Job Fair.
In addition to the international guests and tech businesses that will be participating in Digital Jam 2.0, the Marketplace and Job Fair is expected to be the event’s key attraction. To help us realise our objective of connecting business and youth, we will:
(i) showcase ICT and ICT-related skills and innovation among Jamaican youth (youth: 13—35 years, and includes both individuals and youth-owned businesses)
(ii) offer opportunities for employment, and
(iii) offer business development and networking opportunities, to those registered under (i) or (ii).
We are inviting young entrepreneurs and businesses that operate in the ICT space to participate in the Marketplace and Job Fair. Exhibitor details have been attached. Also, should you have vacancies or work opportunities that you are planning to advertise, let us talk about featuring them in the Job Fair.
In the meantime, please complete the Exhibitor Registration Form and return it to marketp...@jamprocorp.com at the earliest opportunity. We would be delighted if you could join us at Digital Jam 2.0!
Additional information can be found at: www.digitaljam2.com.
Cheers,
Stephen Charoo.
