Versão antiga hein ? Se eu te engano, na hora do boot, leia com atenção que
tem uma opção "kernel" para HD's SATA.

VFS=CANNOT OPEN ROOT DEVICE =802 OR 08:02

PLEASE APPEND A CORRECT "ROOT=" BOOT OPTION

As versões mais novas não precisa selecionar kernel nem nada o suporte a
sata é bem melhor ja instalei o 12 e o 12.1 foi tranquilo só tem que ver se
esse hd seu esta bom.

por acaso o seu hd não tem bad block?
tive uns problemas para instalar o slack 10.1 no meu pc mas consegui ....
na inicialização escolhi a opção bare.i......

Resovido pessoal, troquei o hd e foi 100 %
A respeito da versao, estou na 10 porque a vpn que as 7 filiais estao a usar
é a versao 2.. entao pra nao ter que refazer tudo eu mantive ate me sobrar
tempo para atualizar todas.
