Hi Alon,
We have similar plans and would favor training along with official
regatta in Weymouth at the end of April.
Have contacted Marcus, Alex and Niki to see if this is feasible,
awaiting their response.

Bonjour Jean-Paul

We were looking to do Hyeres but if there are no boats then we will make other plans. Maybe a regatta a week before Sail for Gold would be good?

Dan.

Hi all,

Although I have entered Hyeres I am now going to have to withdraw my entry. Hope this helps everyone with their planning.

Thanks

Alex

Hello all

Before everyone abandons Hyeres, I would think that ITA and ESP would favour this event (Giulio / Vanessa – can you advise?).  Also, Hyeres and Palma will be the two World Cup events in Europe from 2013 and it took a while before the SKUDs were invited to participate at this regatta.  Having established a fleet there over the past two years, it would be good from a class perspective to grow entries and firm up the position of the SKUD within the World Cup venues.  Understand the logic of Weymouth, and that everyone is operating on limited budgets and cannot do everything, but it would be good to get a better understanding of which teams are planning to compete in the SOF.

I believe we should all do Hyeres.

Dear All,

We are going to Hyeres. David is right supporting the world cup events that invite us is imperative. If you can make it to Weymouth getting to France really is not that much further. If everyone agrees to Hyeres we could, as a class, look at group transport options for boats (if they are in the uk) and/or transfers if flying to the uk is easier. It is a great chance for us to race and train.
We feel it is a mistake for us to shun events that it took a lot of hard work to  organise our involvement in.

We aren't registered purely because we are having a problem with our card which should be fixed tomorrow.

We hope you will join us and the other European teams and support this event going ahead.
