Hi guys,
Using Delphi I developed a dynamic toolbox which may be useful for all
sketchup users.
Here is the web site. I hope it makes your jobs easy as it does mine.

"It is very poorly implemented. IMHO "
firstly,
have you everdone a job like this before? Because your crytisism look
like very unskillful. It took months to build it even for a skillfull
programmer like me.
"It KILLS the right-click popup menus (which have commands that appear
no place else"
You don't have attention. If you had you would see there is a video
which clearly explains how you can open right-click popup menu. (just
double right click)
Next time when you crytisys someone start from yourself, instead of
blaiming and slander.
"It interfers with the user's hotkey settings. "
Another example of your attentionlessness , If you had read my website
you would see the answer I published there and queted below
-------------------------------------------------
and finally you should know something
this shotcut problem is not because of me. This is because of these
things.
1- There is no com object or .dll file for third party programs (Like
I made with delphi) to send commands to sketchup via ruby script.
2- The documentation and/or rubby script commands (forexample even for
making group) is not enough. I tried not to use shortcuts but there
weren't any ruby script command to do some actions.
Finally don't hesitate to contact me, I ll try do my best to help...
This is what I can.
----------------------------------------
"The 3D toolbar looks very nice. "
thanks
"Too bad you messed with the hotkeys and menus. "
just one messing thing I can see in your message, your attentionless
brain.
This sentence may seem like a revilement but that is what I infered
from what you have written.

This is your application. If the user doesn't notice how to do something it is *you* who have failed at communication. The idea may be neat, but how you execute the details really matters. I have installed your extension. It was quite painful to get to work and I had to manually install the files. If I were a average user I would abandon your plugin at the very beginning.
Double right click, you say? That's news to me. It wasn't clearly presented anywhere. Such matters should be in FAQ (at least) or something.
Also you should really explain *why* do you mess with hotkeys? It is very counter productive: people, especially professional users, get to remember certain hotkeys. It's very difficult for them to switch. So again: why do you *need* to hard-code certain hotkeys?
Another important piece is attitude: you really shouldn't be upset that people don't wan't to install your software and yell at them if they don't like something about it.

You also falsely claim there is no way to call arbitrary dll or COM from Ruby. While not documented in SketchUp API (because it's not the right place to do that) there is plenty of resources on interfacing Ruby with Win32. In particular it took me less than 10 minutes to find a complete and working in SketchUp example.

I DID watch the video.. and it was not clear.
Why do you not have YOUR plugin use the double-right click, (.. and leave the single-right click as it is now.) ??
