Which food vendor should we choose for the Saturday 8/4 lunch?
(Subway, etc.)
What will it cost to feed 50 people through this vendor?
What is the capacity of Sigi's room (the site of our event)?
Will a microphone, amplifier, podium, etc. be provided, or do we have
to bring our own?
Any others that I've overlooked?
Have you checked prices for vendors? If not, I would be happy to. I
know some would have deals for large meals...subway has the big
sandwiches, like a mile long or something (little exaggeration), and
the pizza place I think discounts for large orders....emphasis on the
'think' part.
Can check on prices too
Don't know on the equipment part. I can see what is available through
the psychology department which I could borrow since you're being
sponsered by the Research Club. I can also find out about capacity.
That reminds me....flyers. Kind of spaced that out because of having
to leave out of state. Is that something that will need to be down
around campus? If so, when would be best.
Also, I can have an announcement sent to all Metro student email
accounts about the conference.
So pretty much this reply got you know where, but I shall return with
part 2 once i get the info.

Since it's your neck of the woods and you're familiar, could you do
that? Thanks. We should go with the best deal, but gather some
options. Food is food for the inaugural conference. No need to be
overly picky.

YES. Please flyer campus! Starting now and on to the conference. If
you can flyer weekly that would be great. Reed has a template.

Yes! And Facebook/Myspace too.

ditto. Drinks aren't very expensive. Water is free.

Maybe. They didn't have a definitive answer. We're going to press
them on this further.

Subway canned pop: $.89 bottled water: $1.09

Pizza place is closed on Saturday. The catering option is pricey.
McDonalds & Taco Bell will likely be open.
The Subway option looks the most appealing:
3-foot section of giant sub feeds 10-12 people and start at $29.97
Some other items:
- box lunches: $5.49/person
- party sandwich+wrap platters (feeds 7-9) $29.88
- cookie platters: 36 cookies/$14.99, 18 cookies/$7.79
> What will it cost to feed 50 people through this vendor?
5 * $30 = $150 + tax
> What is the capacity of Sigi's room (the site of our event)?
With tables, 60 people. With chairs, 125 people.
We will need to give them an expected count in the week or so leading
up to our event so they can set up to match our expected turnout.

They will be set up, along with a projector.
