Hello SJAA members and other!
There are a few items of interest I'd like to tell you about.
We have a wonderful speaker for this Saturday's SJAA General Meeting.
Local "star observer" Bob Jardine has agreed to speak on his observing
experiences using the Astronomical League's Observing Programs. You can
see a nice listing of the programs here, along with the pins you receive
for completing each.

Bob is an excellent observer, who has completed many of the AL programs.
His experiences should be informative and interesting - and provide great
incentive especially for beginners out there. Bob is also an ALCOR (AL
Coordinator) and can help you choose a program for your level and enjoyment.
Please come Saturday night to welcome Bob. SJAA has a social time from
7:30 to 8, then the talk begins. SJAA will have some refreshment for its
guests, and if you'd like to bring something to share, that's welcome too!
SJAA also has a board of directors meeting from 6 to 7:30 same night.
Everyone is welcome to attend and either enjoy the show, or participate and
help guide the club. New ideas, new people, welcome!
Lastly, I want to mention Lick Observatory's Music Of The Spheres Concert
Series. It is in full swing and a worthwhile evening of music and
astronomy in a beautiful and historic location. Help support this
wonderful program by attending a concert, and enjoying views through some
of the famous instruments "on the mountain". You can get a copy of a flyer

See you Saturday!
