Hello SJAA Members and Friends,
Reminder about tonight's in town public star party at San Jose's Houge Park.
As we're getting deeper into spring, we're having to
start a bit later. Official hours are from 8:45 to 11:45PM. If you have a scope and want to bring it, please do, and you can show up a bit earlier so you can set up before it's entirely dark. Also, if you have a scope and perhaps aren't sure how to use it, by all means, bring it and there will be people there who would be glad to give you a hand. We really do have a good, friendly group of folks who come out to these star parties.
Weather looks great, but always hedge your bets and bring a jacket. A covering for your head is always a good idea after dark too since space likes to suck the heat from your scalp, I've found. Nothing
like a cold noggin to make you miserable.
We set up by the tennis courts so please try and come on out.
Have a great first quarter moon weekend!
