This Weekend Events, On and Off

Hello SJAA Members and Friends,
Weather isn't cooperating very well for some of the events this weekend. Most notably, the Half Messier Marathon has been canceled due to predicted conditions.  Teruo says, "Unfortunately, we are canceling the Spring Half Messier Marathon at Henry Coe Park.  We may try to arrange another
event in June or July. Thanks to everyone for their support.  A special thank you to those who took the time to signup!"

Here is a summary of all this weekend's events as they stand now:

--FRIDAY--
Star Party: ON, but weather may very well cancel; stay tuned.

Beginners Class: ON! Definitely.

--SATURDAY--
Outreach Event in Cupertino: ON. Volunteers welcome for outreach, contact Michael Packer.

Half Messier Marathon: OFF. Canceled, unfortunately.

--SUNDAY--

Solar Observing: ON. But could be called off due to conditions.

FixIt Day: Definitely ON.

Good to remember that though some events happen simultaneously, they are not necessarily related. In other words, if the outdoor event is canceled, it doesn't mean that the indoor event is also called off. We strive to keep as active as possible!
