It looks like Marina's "Wheel of Lunch" idea is pulling into an early
but sizable lead. If you think you've got something better for the
June project, or even a half-idea that you'd like to see implemented,
please toss it up there.

Also, if you've already posted an idea, but it's not getting any
traction, use this thread to make the case of why Your Idea is the
best in the world? How exactly does the world benefit from a "Karma
Police", or "Coin Flipping" app? =)

I will not be at the June 6HS, so if we could do it in July and I could be
there, that would be awesome. However, I trust you all to rock at it on your
own.

I vote for a coin flipping widget in June :)

Hey Justin,

As the guy who posted the "Karma Police" idea, I'll take you up on the offer to flesh it out a bit on this thread. Not sure if I'd make a case for "Karma Police" being something that would change the world, but the thinking was basically a simple and fun online implementation of one of the oldest social concepts in the world: the confessional.  I have a little theory that if you look at many of the more popular success stories on the Internet, there's some type of voyeuristic element to it (Friendster/MySpace, YouTube, Twitter...and, well, you know..).  I think it's human nature to want to see other people's thoughts, pictures, videos - the more salacious, the better.

That being said, I actually don't think it's that great of an idea - it doesn't have any real distribution power or major incentives for the poster to post confessions or the reviewer to review the confessions, and doesn't really fill an interesting niche that would be needed to get an impassioned set of core users involved right off the bat.

I'm actually a big fan of the "Wheel of Lunch" idea myself.  Also, I keep a little blog where I post any random little startup ideas I have.  It's over at www.astartupaday.com , feel free to check those out for future 6HS as well.
