Announcing...the SixHourStartup Starter App Google Code Site...

http://code.google.com/p/sixhourstartup/

After enjoying the last round of sixhourstartup and speedily hacking through the creation of some sort of rails application to extend the idea upon, it dawned on me that it would be a good idea to just have a starter app to work from...so....

I created a Google Code site dedicated to starter apps, docs, and tools for the sixhourstartup. Currently there is a Rails app that has been pre-built with an Authentication schema (restful_authentication) and an e-Commerce solution (Active Merchant). Rather than having to bootstrap the app and all of these modules, it made sense to me to just start with all of this ready-made.

There are directions for checking out the starter app on the wiki.

If you would like to contribute to the rails app, or create another app (say with Django, or Merb) then just let me know.

Thanks,

Dave

WOW... thanks for taking this initiative. We had talked so often about
building a dev kit, and this is a fantastic start! It's a serious pain
point that can really be solved with technology and here you go doing
it :)
