Is this project active?

Is Sitemesh an active project or is the project abandonware or on its
last legs? Can anyone tell me what is going on with this project?

I think it's alive, but it's very slow because developers are busy.

I'm seriously thinking about jumpin on the devel boat because sitemesh
it's a milestone in every project of mine, and I want to be sure I can
rely on it.

But I'm also curious about the development state, I know this is a
recurring question, but this should be an indicator about how people
like this project and would love to see it taken care of.
