Hi all,

We started to re-organize the SIOC Wiki, in order to improve
readibility, etc.

First, as many people suggested new features, improvements, etc. on
the mailing list, we created a new Features template [1] and a related
category so that people can list their own on the wiki.
If you want to create a new feature request, simply create a new page,
copy and paste the previous template and add your feature.
Do not forget to assign it to the Features category to each page
(using the [[Category:Features]] macro, included in the template) so
that your page will be listed on [2].
The process to resolve each feature request will be comunicated soon.

We also added a template for Applications [3], and we suggest that
anyone use it when adding a new application on the wiki.
Please also use the [[Category:Applications]] when adding new ones, as
the related category already exists [4].
We're also looking for volunteers to move the current applications
listed in [5] to independant pages.
Help is highly welcome :-)

Cheers,

Alex.

Hi Alex & list!

Those are already on independent pages, click on each app's "read
more" to get to their own page. I made the implementations page in a
way to display only teasers of each app's page by using Mediawiki's
"Transclusion" feature.

If desired, I can look into on how to combine transclusion with your
new application template.

Maybe there would even be use for the Semantic MediaWiki extension, I
have some experience with it.

Best regards,
Thomas

Oh great, I didn't see that !

Would be nice if it can be done without too much efforts.

Indeed, SMW would be great, I was thinking of it to create
automatically simple DOAP files for each application for instance, or
at least getting an RDF description of each application (that can be
mapped to DOAP later).
We can check the details to install the extension off-list

Alex.
