අක්ෂර වින්‍යාසය සම්බන්ධයෙන් යෝජනාවක්

මේක මගේ හිතට ආපු අදහසක්,

යාළුවනේ, අපි ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂාවෙන් කුමක් හෝ ලිපියක් ලියද්දි (Type කරද්දි)
අපට අකුරු අත්වැරදීම් (Spelling mistakes) සිදුවීමේ හැකියාව ඉතාමත්ම
අඩුයි ඒ මොකද Word හෝ වෙනයම් WYSIWYG editor එකක යතුරු ලියනය කරද්දි,
ඉංග්‍රීස් භාෂාව සඳහා Auto Spell check ක්‍රම තිබෙන නිසා. ඒ නිසා යම්
වචනයක් වැරදි ලෙස ටයිප් උනොත් රතු පාට ඉරක් මඟින් ඒ වචනය පෙන්වනවා.

මෙවැනි ක්‍රමයක් අපේ සිංහල භාෂාවට එක් කරන්න පුළුවන් නම් අපේ අක්ෂර
වින්‍යාසයත් නිරායාසයෙන්ම නිවැරදි වෙනවා නේද ?

මෙවැනි ක්‍රමයක් දැනටමත් තියෙනවද කියලනම් මම දන්නේ නැහැ. ඒ වගේම මෙහි
තාක්ෂණික පසුබිම ගැනත් මට ඒ හැටි අවබෝධයක් නැහැ. එවැනි ක්‍රමයක් හදන්නට
අපට තාක්ෂණය තියෙනවද ?

මෙතන ටයිප් කළාම 100% ක්ම වාගේ ඔබේ වැරදි නිවැරදි කරනවා. ඉංග්‍රීසි වලදි බ්‍රිටිෂ් සහ ඇමරිකන් දෝෂය වගේ මෙතනත් ගුරු කුල දෝෂ නම් තියෙන්න පුලුවන්. ඒත් සාමාන්‍ය භාවිතාට මෙය වටිනවා.

Creating a custom dictionary in any language is not too hard.

We could all get together to create a good dictionary by submitting proper words. If you guys are interested in doing something like this, I can provide an online tool for word submission and also downloading new dictionary versions.

not sure if this can be used on Android and mobile input tools. Any one doing android App dev who got an idea?

ඇත්තටම subasa.lk මේ වෙබ් අඩවිය ගැන මම කළින් දැනන් හිටියෙ නැහැ.
මෙවැන්නක් තිබීම ගැන සතුටුයි. මේ ගැන දැනුවත් කළාට නෙරංජිට ස්තුතිවන්ත
වෙනවා.

නමුත් tidalbobo කිව්ව වගේ ඇතැම් දෝෂ මමත් දැක්කා. ඒ පළිබඳ මම නිර්මාණ
කණ්ඩායමට පණිවිඩයකුත් දැම්මා. එයාල ඒ ගැන බැලුවොත් හොඳයි.

වෙබ් බ්‍රව්සරයක ඇති wysiwyg editor එකක (උදා- ඉ මේල් එකක් ලියද්දි,
බ්ලොග් එකක් ලියද්දී) මෙලෙස වැරදි වචන යටින් Real time විදියට ඉරක් ඇඳෙන
සේ plug in එකක් හෝ javascript වලින් මොනයම් හෝ ක්‍රමයක් සකසන්න පුළුවනද
?

Even though Sandaruwan's FF addon is out of date with current FF versions, you can easily extract the data list and bundle it to a newer version. I believe it's just a matter of changing some meta details in the plugin - https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Extension_Versioning,_Update_and_Compatibility#Choosing_minVersion_and_maxVersion

For open office there are already 2 Sinhala spell checkers (including one I submitted but sadly I don't have time to regularly update it. Some help would be awesome) - http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Dictionaries#Sinhala_.28Sri_Lanka.29. Additionally here is the word set used in my spell checker if anyone interested in improving current state of Sinhala dictionaries - https://github.com/laknath/Sinhala-Dictionary

Also there's a small Java tool I built few years ago to maintain Hunspell word sets conveniently - https://github.com/laknath/Hunspell-Dictionary-Tools. You can crawl web, extract words and add complete word patterns into a Hunspell based word list easily. Again if anyone wants to use it or fork it you are more than welcome.
