I would really like to hear a talk like that, so I would vote for a
lightning talk in June, or failing that, a talk in July. I know I'll
be away in August!

That would be an awesome talk, I think. The talks/presentations for
June are filled, but depending on how things go, we can have you speak
in July or August. Or you might want to consider having a lightning
talk about the topic (time limit of 5 minutes though)

That sounds great George! I'm always interested to know about people's
experiences with functional languages (hopefully while doing real work and
not just school assignments like me!).
