UP Singapore Open Data Hackathon
(http://www.upsingapore.com/up-weekend/) is Coming Up June 22-24, I would
like to invite you all to attend.
So what's the Open Data Hackathon all about? Simply put the goal is to
take government data (with a few interesting private data sets that we have
been allowed access to) and analyze it, mash it up--whatever you can dream
up doing with it--and create apps (web or mobile) that make the country
smarter, healthier, more efficient, make life better, and government more
open.
It's the first of it's kind experiment, with the full support of the
Singapore government, to show how community innovators can use open
government data to make Singapore a better place.
It should be a fun time for anybody that has a passion for hacking and an
interest in making Singapore a better place.
Pre-hackathon workshops and data trainings (open to all participants and
community members at large; more details and how to register for the free
trainings can be found at: http://www.upsingapore.com/big-data-training/)
