But this group is _active_ most days - so I figured I would ask.

I'd love to be able to toss up a change or two into github while at
work, but the firewall blocks it. Currently I commit to the repo on a
keychain and push when I get home. Boring.

What is the latest and greatest way to connect to github for pushes
through a firewall? I'm running XP, and am able to use the windows
version of Git, the cyg version, and plink and all the putty goodness.

Thoughts? The links out there are somewhat old and don't seem to be
consistent enough to actually work.

of course, I could also simply _work_ too...

But who wants to do that? ;)

This most certainly breaks the rules, but what you could do is to
route your putty through the http proxy (if you guys have one).

In PuTTY > Connection > Proxy, set it to your http proxy and see if
that works
