Hi
in my environment (Vista, QuadCore Dell) the example sketch
SimpleOpenNI_User
works fast and easy with pose detction.
User calibration failse most of the time and is often very slow.
Any thoughts on this ? How does this work for other ?

hi knut,

i'm just working on that. But at the time it looks like the calibration needs to be done
always in the beginning. You can have several calibrations saved, but only in memory,
not on disc ! Those calibrations you can switch at runtime. Check out the changelog(not released yet):
http://simple-openni.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/SimpleOpenNI/ChangeLog.txt
So it's not permanently, only for the current session, but it seams like this could
change in the near future:

About calibration:
- it helps if you don't have lose cloths
- the hole body is visible
- also it helps it you do fists with your hands

Check out the openNI-wiki, 'Q: What is Calibration?':

Making fists did the trick for me. Now it calibrating within 10sec
appox.
Found this link:

Seems that if we have your function of saving and loading Calibration,
we
can reuse this data also for differrent users in quite a stable way.
That means, that poeple could just step in and I can track their
skeleton !
This would be really cool.
