We have another great event coming up next Monday 4pm at Fishburners.
Brett Clark is coming over to talk to us about the growth and success of his businesses ePharmacy and Chemist Warehouse.
ePharmacy is an interesting story that is contrary to many other successes in etail/retail as it started as a pure online play and later transformed into a successful big box retail operation.
The business was very disruptive to the traditional pharmacy model and Brett was forced to deal with a lot of resistance from pharmacists and other regulatory bodies.
Brett is a consummate entrepreneur and isn’t scared to get in the trenches and work alongside the frontline staff. He has won the Ernst & Young Young Businessman of the Year award for QLD, and has sat on the judging panel. He also regularly lectures at the University of Queensland Business school, has been involved with and mentored various startups and sits on the boards of several charities.
ePharmacy/ Chemist Warehouse employs over 7000 staff via 160 plus outlets with gross revenues in excess of a billion dollars.
